A Reading from St. Paul’s letter to the Philippians(4:8&9)

In conclusion, my brothers and sisters, fill your minds with those things that are good and that deserve praise: things that are true, noble, right, pure, lovely, and honourable. Put into practice what you have learnt and received from me, both from my words and from my actions. And the God who gives us peace will be with you.

Make a list of things in the world that are good and deserve praise?

St. Paul says that things that deserve praise should be: true, noble, right, pure, lovely & honourable. Go back to your list and add any thing else you can think of that meets St. Paul’s definition?

St. Paul says we have to put into practice what he has taught us through his words and actions. What did he do in his life that was wonderful and awe inspiring?

In the reading we heard these words:

Imagine that you have a magnifying glass and you see a beautiful, wonderful, awe inspiring thing.

What do you notice about it first?Use your magnifier to look closer. What else can you see? Imagine God is there with you. Tell him why this thing is good and why it deserves praise.
