ResearchInternships Exchange students have the opportunity to pursue a researchinternship in one of Polytechniques laboratories. They can do aresearch internship during their exchange term or after but theycannotdosobefore theexchangeterm.Duringthe term, theycanchoosetogetcreditsforit(upto6credits)ornot.Aftertheexchangeterm, internshipsarenotcreditedandresearch internsdonothaveanystudentstatus.

InternshipsandJobsincompanies Exchangestudentswhowanttoacquirework experience inCanadaafter their exchange term can do so if they hold a valid CanadianWork Permit. They need to get ajob offer before applying for anyworkpermit,exceptiftheyapplywithintheWorkingHolidayPermit(WHP) program (beware that WHP places are strictly limited, andapplicationsforworking in2014mustbesentearly inautumn2013for specific countries). Other work permits are possible beside ofWHP after having found ajob offer in Canada. No support on the
