Following the election, two alternative locations were suggested. Site inspections were conducted on 14 Jan 2020 and the Returning Officer’s preferred option is to relocate to St Peter’s Church Hall, Warmsworth Road, DN4 0TW. This is accessible and has good internal facilities as well as parking and external lighting. The building is privately owned and the Returning Officer is awaiting a response to confirm availability. This is expected before 27 January. The Returning Officer also recommends merging polling districts BA and BB to facilitate management of the polling station

Due to the short notice, a portable unit was used for the election and this elicited information about a possible alternative at the Church Balk Centre, off Marian Road, DN3 2PT. A site inspection was conducted on 14 Jan 2020 and availability was confirmed. The building has been recently refurbished and is accessible and has good facilities inside as well as external lighting and parking. The Returning Officer recommends relocation to the Church Balk Centre.
