Wasim Ahmed got injuries and

Chandigarh and Manish Kumar R/o Village-Kandoli Khurd, Distt-

Sangroor (Pb) from Over Bridge, Near Guru Nank Public School,

Sector-36, Chandigarh. Total 10 Gram Heroin recovered from both

accused .

3. 29.08.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Chandigarh near

New Park, Sector-53, Chandigarh and recovered 80 Gram of

Charas & 10 drug injections from her possession. A Case FIR No.338

U/S 20 & 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

Further investigation is going on.

4. 06.09.2015 Chandigarh Police (PS-36) registered 03 cases by arrested 03

accused namely Dishant R/o # 3262, Sector-21-D, Chandigarh

arrested from Bridge, Near Guru Nanak Public School Hostel, Sector-

36, Chandigarh and recovered 10 Gram of Heroin from his

possession, Vishal Mankotiya R/o # 1548, Sector-22, Chandigarh

near 66 KV Sub Station, Village-Kajheri, Chandigarh and recovered

10 Gram of Heroin (along with lighter foil etc) from his possession

and a girl resident of UP near GCG College, Sector-42, Chandigarh

and recovered 10 Gram of Heroin from her possession.

5. 05.10.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Anil Kumar R/o Mohalla Balmiki Basti,

Ward No.8, Naraingarh, Distt-Ambala near Mandir, Sector-43,

Chandigarh and recovered 40 Gram of Charas from his possession.

A Case FIR No.378 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police arrested Amrinder Singh # 627/3, Haripur

Mohalla, Sirmour (HP) from backside Electricity Colony, Sector-52,

Chandigarh and recovered 85 Gram of Charas from his possession.

A Case FIR No.379 U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh. Further investigation is going on.

6. 26.10.2015 Sh. Karambir Singh R/o # 1356, Sector-52, Chandigarh reported that

someone has stolen four water taps and two drill machines from his

residence on the night intervening 25/26.10.2015. Later on accused

Ricky @ Choti R/o # 1288, Sector-52, Chandigarh arrested in this

case. A Case FIR No. 395 U/S 380 IPC added 411 IPC has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. The case has been worked out.

7. 30.10.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Karan R/o # 1777, Sector-25,

Chandigarh who quarreled and attacked on Wasim Ahmed R/o #

114, Kajehri, Chandigarh with helmet near Henna boutique, Village

Kajheri, Chandigarh on 30-10-2015. Wasim Ahmed got injuries and

admitted to GH-16, where he expired later. A Case FIR No. 398, U/S

302 IPC was registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. The case has been

worked out.

8. 17.11.2015 In a major breakthrough Chandigarh Police has cracked all the four

reported incidents of robbery within 24 hrs. On the night intervening

17/18.11.15, four incidents of robbery were reported in Police Station

Sec- 31, 36 & 39, Chandigarh. 4-5 occupants in a Indigo Car have

robbed the people at the various places by injuring them with rods

and taken away their belongings. Dr. Navdeep Brar IPS, ASP/South

immediately constituted three police teams headed by SHO Police

Station Sec-31, 36, & 39 under his supervision to nab the culprits. A

team headed by Insp. Ram Dayal SHO, PS Sec-36 got a clue about

the Indigo Car involved in the crimes. He developed this information

and succeeded to trace out the vehicle.These teams have arrested

four persons including 2 juveniles and workout the above cases. 1.

Ashwani Kumar S/o Ashok Kumar R/o # P-1535, Tin Colony, Sec-52,

Chd Age- 21 Yrs. 2. Sachin S/o Om Parkash R/o # 1998, Sec-52, Chd.

Age- 21 Yrs. The offending vehicle has also been recovered from

the accused.

9. 05.11.2015 Chandigarh Police arrested Harjit Singh R/o # 7, Village-Badd Majra,

Distt-Mohali from backside ISBT-43, Chandigarh and recovered 17

Gram of Smack from his possession. A Case FIR No. 405 U/S 21 NDPS

Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

In another incident Chandigarh Police arrested Shiva Singh Gautam

R/o Village-Chandwara, Distt-Banda (UP) from dividing road, Sector-

61/52, Chandigarh and recovered 82 Gram of Opium from his

possession. A Case FIR No. 406 U/S 18 NDPS Act has been registered

in PS-36, Chandigarh.

10. 14.12.2015 Chandigarh Police (Operation Cell) arrested Mangal Singh R/o

VPO-Sahnewal, Distt-Amritsar (Pb) from backside of ISBT-43,

Chandigarh and recovered 7 Gram of Heroin from his possession. A

Case FIR No.432 U/S 21 NDPS Act was registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh.

11. 15.01.2016 Public Grievances Redressal Camp (Complaint Redressal Camp)

have been organized in the premises of PS-36 & 3 in which 3 Police

Stations were included i.e. PS-36, 31 & Police Station-3, Chandigarh,

which was chaired by Dr. Sukhchain Singh Gill IPS, SSP/UT,

Chandigarh alongwith concerned SDPOs and SHOs, I/C PP’s, and

investigating officer/inquiry officers were present during the Camp

Mohali, Distt. Mohali (PB) near Parking of Fragrance Garden, Sector-

36, Chandigarh while unauthorized selling tickets of Cricket Match

on 26.03.2016. A Case FIR No. 54, U/S 420 IPC has been registered in

PS-36, Chandigarh.

13. 04.04.2016 Accused arrested in Case FIR No. 65 U/S 379, 411 IPC, PS-36,

Chandigarh

Sandeep @ Kali R/o same, caught while stealing his Honda City Car

No. CH-03C-4864 from Community Centre, Sector-42, Chandigarh.

A Case FIR No. 65 U/S 379,411 IPC has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh against. Both accused have been arrested in this case.

Investigation of the case is in progress.

16. 04.05.2016 Apprehension of accused in Case FIR No. 93 U/S 379 IPC added 411

IPC, PS-36, Chandigarh.

Sh. Deepak Kumar R/o # 177/1, Sector-52, Village-Kajheri,

Chandigarh reported that someone has stolen M/Cycle, No. CH-01-

AY-8129 which was parked in front of his house. Later on accused

Deepak Kumar R/o P-850, Teen Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh and

Vinod Kumar R/o Labour Chowk, Sector-44, Chandigarh have been

arrested in this case. A Case FIR No. 93 U/S 379 IPC added 411 IPC

has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case

is in progress.

17. 12.07.2016 Accused apprehended in Case FIR No. 140 U/S 394,341,34 IPC has

been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh

Sh. Ashok Kumar R/o # 1396, Sector-52, Chandigarh alleged that

three unknown riders of M/Cycle, robbed Cash Rs. 2000/-, Voter

Card from complainant on knife point at Tin Colony, Sector-52,

Chandigarh. Later on accused Rajnish @ Lovely R/o # 1535, Tin

Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh has been arrested in this case. A

Case FIR No. 140 U/S 394,341,34 IPC has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh.

18. 17.07.2016 Vehicle lifter arrested

Sh. Kulwinder Singh R/o # 80, Jaggi Colony Ph-2, Ambala (HR),

Chandigarh. Later accused namely Ravinder Giri R/o Village

Shampur, Distt. Mohali (PB) has been arrested and motor cycle

recovered from him. A Case FIR No. 141, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

19. 02.07.2016 Arrest of accused in Case FIR No. 132 U/S 323, 307, 302, 34 IPC has

been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

Sh. Rahul R/o # 1288, Sector-52, Chandigarh alleged that Rohit @

Choker, Chhanga, Titu Ram and other (a lady) quarreled and

stabbed him (complainant) and his brothers Krishan and Chhoti

near Park, Sector-52, Chandigarh. All three got admitted to GMSH-

16 and later Krishan expired at PGI. A Case FIR No. 132 U/S 323, 307,

302, 34 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Accused

Rohit, Titu Ram and a lady resident of Sector-52, Chandigarh have

been arrested in this case. Investigation of the case is in progress.

20. 02.07.2016 Arrest of accused in Case FIR No. 132 U/S 323, 307, 302, 34 IPC has

been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

Sh. Rahul R/o # 1288, Sector-52, Chandigarh alleged that Rohit @

Choker, Chhanga, Titu Ram and other (a lady) quarreled and

stabbed him (complainant) and his brothers Krishan and Chhoti

Chandigarh. Later accused namely Ravinder Giri R/o Village

23. 30.7.2016 Accused apprehended in case FIR No.147 U/S 21 & 22 NDPS Act, PS-

36, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Kumar R/o Village-Geora,

Tehsil-Nadon, Distt-Hamirpur (HP) near Electricity Colony, Sector-52,

Chandigarh and recovered 12 Injections of Omgesic Buprenorphine

2 ML and 5 ½ gram of Smack from his possession. A Case FIR No.147

U/S 21 & 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

24. 03.08.2016 Three juvenile apprehended and one accused arrested in Sexual

assault (Rape) case.

25. 06.08.2016 One more accused arrested in accident and public servant assault

case.

One more accused namely Banti Singh (Age 20 years) S/o Sh. Manjit

Singh R/o Vill-Gheora, PS-Samana, Distt-Patiala, PB has been

arrested on 06.08.2016 in Case FIR No. 114 U/S

279,147,149,186,332,353 IPC registered in PS-36, Chandigarh in which

accused and his assailants hit to Cheetah M/Cycle No. CH-01-GA-

6120 with M/Cycle, No. CH-04C-1620 driven by accused person and

also quarrelled with public servant while he was on Govt. duty near

Park, Jungle, Sector-53 Chandigarh on the night intervening

9/10.6.2016.

26. 07.08.2016 One PO arrested wanted in case FIR No. 135/2010 U/S 279, 332, 353

IPC.

One PO namely Tavlin Singh S/o Daljit Singh R/o # 5506, Sector 38

(West), Chandigarh wanted in case FIR No. 135/2010 U/S 279, 332,

353 IPC has been arrested on 07.08.2016 .

27. 12.8.2016 Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police arrested Baljeet Singh

R/o Village Dudhala, PS Rahon, Distt. Nawa Shehar, Punjab age 26

years, near CTU Workshop, Sector 43, Chandigarh and recovered

160 Injections of Buprenorphin (2 ML) from his possession. A Case FIR

No. 155, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

Further investigation is going on.

28. 13.11.2016 One arrested with 2 kg cannabis

Chandigarh Police arrested Mohd. Jahangir Kuraishi R/o Ward No.

8, Monsitalh Chanpuran, Distt. Betian, Bihar from backside of ISBT-43,

Chandigarh on 13.11.2016 and recovered 2 kg (2000 gm) cannabis

from his possession. A Case FIR No. 274, U/S 21 NDPS Act has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

29. 16.11.2016 One arrested with 20 injections of drugs

Chandigarh Police arrested a lady resident of Sector-52,

Chandigarh near Electricity Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh and

recovered 20 injections of BUPRENORPHINE (drugs) from his

possession on 16.11.2016. A Case FIR No. 277, U/S 22 NDPS Act has

been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

30. 03.09.2016 Accused arrested in Eve-teasing case.

A case FIR No. 179, 31.08.2016 u/s 354A, 506 IPC was registered in PS-

36, Chandigarh and same has been worked out with the arrest of

Sukhcharan Deep Singh Mangat S/o Sh. Sukhmander Singh Mangat

R/o village Mangat Ker, PS Sadar, Distt. Muktsar Sahib, (PB) age 27

years

31. 22.01.2017 Two arrested for MV theft and 6 vehicles recovered

Chandigarh Police achieve a major success by arresting two

accused namely Munish Kumar Salaria @ Sanjay (19 yrs) S/o Lt. Sh.

Om Parkash Salaria R/o H. No. 534, Gurunanak Colony, Chugite,

Distt. Jalandhar Punjab & Monu Sapehia (21 yrs) S/o Sh. Mangal

Singh R/o VPO-Bharmar Tehsil-Jawali Distt. Kangra, HP who was

active regarding theft of Motor vehicle in Chandigarh and

surrounding area Mohali & Panchkula.

A case FIR No. 18 dt. 17.1.17 u/s 379 IPC PS-36, Chandigarh

was registered on the complaint of Surinder Kaur D/o Sh. Mohinder

Singh Gill R/o # 1472, Sec-42 B, Chandigarh regarding theft of

her Activa Scooter No. CH03S-2125. During investigation, on 17.1.17

one accused Munish Kumar Salaria @ Sanjay (19 yrs)was arrested

with stolen vehicle from near Patrol Pump GCG Sec-42, Chandigarh

during Naka. During police remand he disclosed u/s 27 Evidence

Act that he alongwith his associate namely Monu Sapehia had

stolen many other two wheeler from the city and surrounding area.

On the identification, his co-accused Monu Sapehia was arrested

and following vehicles were recovered from their possession. From

the arrest of above said accused the below mentioned cases has

been worked out.

1. Case FIR No. 18 dt. 17.1.17 u/s 379 added 411 IPC PS-36,

Chandigarh recovered Activa Scooter No. CH03S-2125.

2. Case FIR No. 211 dt. 17.2.12 u/s 379 added 411 IPC PS-36,

Chandigarh recovered Honda Activa No. CH14 (T) 7964.

3. Case FIR No. 252 dt. 9.12.16 u/s 379 IPC PS-M/Majra, Chd

recovered M/Cycles No. CH03-Y-9674 Hero Honda Passion.

4. Case FIR No. 86 dt. 19.4.16 U/S 379 IPC PS-26,

Chandigarh recovered M/Cycle without number plate bearing

Engine no. 33333, Chassis no. 24758 (Bajaj Platina).

5. U/s 102 Cr.P.C. Honda Passion M/Cycle No. CH03-N-

4186.

6. U/s 102 Cr.P.C. parts of Honda Splendor Motor cycle

without number bearing engine no.HA18EA8HL23191 & rubbed

chassis number.

32. 04.02.2017 Case FIR No. 40 dt. 04.02.17 u/s 406 added 411 IPC PS-36, Chd.

Complainant Bablu Soni (24 yrs) S/o Sh. Sukhpal Soni R/o # 236 Sec

35 A Chd. stated that on 2.2.17 at about 3 PM when he was present

in barber shop of Parvesh in Sec-35 Market and showing his new

mobile phone of LYF company bearing sim no. 8968411756 to him.

Meantime his old friend namely Sunny came there and took his new

mobile alongwith charger and original bill with the pretext that he

had purchased the mobile costly in price and will return the same

after confirming correct price from the market. Later on, he did not

returned his mobile and further sold to another person.

During the course of investigation on 4.2.17 accused Sunny @

Kanojia (19 yrs) S/o Sh. Ram Lobat R/o Vill. Maloya Chd has been

arrested and mobile phone recovered from his possession.

33. 07.02.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl resident of Chandigarh

against Aryan, Shiv Kumar and Nirmala all are resident of Delhi, who

cheated complainant’s Rs. 27000/-. Accused namely Aryan and

Nirmala arrested in this case.

35. 11.02.2017 Arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Deepak Garg resident of Panjab, near

Sector 43/52 dividing road, Chandigarh and recovered 16 injections

of Pheneramine Maleate from his possession. A case FIR No. 53, U/S

22 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation

of the case is in progress.

36. 11.02.2017 Two arrested for applying fake Registration Number

A Case FIR No. 52, U/S 473, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh against Dharm Pal and Sonu resident of Chandigarh

who were caught near Sector 23/36 dividing road, Chandigarh,

while using fake registration No. PB65AH-8256 on Activa Scooter.

Both accused arrested in this case.

37. 22.01.2017 Two arrested for MV theft and 6 vehicles recovered

Chandigarh Police achieve a major success by arresting

two accused namely Munish Kumar Salaria @ Sanjay (19

yrs) S/o Lt. Sh. Om Parkash Salaria R/o H. No. 534, Gurunanak

Colony, Chugite, Distt. Jalandhar Punjab & Monu Sapehia (21

yrs) S/o Sh. Mangal Singh R/o VPO-Bharmar Tehsil-Jawali Distt.

Kangra, HP who was active regarding theft of Motor vehicle in

Chandigarh and surrounding area Mohali & Panchkula.

A case FIR No. 18 dt. 17.1.17 u/s 379 IPC PS-36,

Chandigarh was registered on the complaint of Surinder Kaur

D/o Sh. Mohinder Singh Gill R/o # 1472, Sec-42 B, Chandigarh

regarding theft of her Activa Scooter No. CH03S-2125. During

investigation, on 17.1.17 one accused Munish Kumar Salaria @

Sanjay (19 yrs)was arrested with stolen vehicle from near Patrol

Pump GCG Sec-42, Chandigarh during Naka. During police

remand he disclosed u/s 27 Evidence Act that he alongwith his

associate namely Monu Sapehia had stolen many other two

wheeler from the city and surrounding area. On the

identification, his co-accused Monu Sapehia was arrested

and following vehicles were recovered from their possession.

From the arrest of above said accused the below mentioned

cases has been worked out.

38. 04.02.2017 Case FIR No. 40 dt. 04.02.17 u/s 406 added 411 IPC PS-

36, Chd.

Complainant Bablu Soni (24 yrs) S/o Sh. Sukhpal Soni R/o # 236

Sec 35 A Chd. stated that on 2.2.17 at about 3 PM when he was

present in barber shop of Parvesh in Sec-35 Market and showing

his new mobile phone of LYF company bearing sim no.

8968411756 to him. Meantime his old friend namely Sunny came

there and took his new mobile alongwith charger and original bill

with the pretext that he had purchased the mobile costly in price

and will return the same after confirming correct price from the

market. Later on, he did not returned his mobile and further sold

to another person.

During the course of investigation on 4.2.17 accused

Sunny @ Kanojia (19 yrs) S/o Sh. Ram Lobat R/o Vill. Maloya

Chd has been arrested and mobile phone recovered from his

possession.

39. 07.02.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sonu R/o # 1535, Tin Colony, Sector-

52, Chandigarh near light point, Sector 51/52, Chandigarh and

recovered 1.2 KG of Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No.

46, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

40. 09.02.2017 Cheating

A case FIR No. 50, U/S 420, 120-B, 506 IPC has been registered

in PS-36, Chandigarh on the complaint of a girl resident of

Chandigarh against Aryan, Shiv Kumar and Nirmala all are

resident of Delhi, who cheated complainant’s Rs. 27000/-.

Accused namely Aryan and Nirmala arrested in this case.

Chd from the said naka while possessing 120 gram Charas

without any valid permit or license.

44. 23.02.2017 One arrested under 15 NDPS Act and recovered 967 gram

poppy husk.

SI Manjit Singh of PP-61, Chd along with police party

while performing the Naka duty near bus stop road dividing

Sec. 61/52 toward Sec-61 side. At about 9.50 PM they nabbed

one person namely Gurmail Singh (36 yrs) S/o Sh. Surja Ram

H.No. 1457 Sec-52,Chd from said place while possessing 967

Gram Poppy Hush without any valid permit or license.

45. 24.02.2017 One arrested under 21 NDPS Act and recovered 6 gram

smack/heroin

SI Sewa Singh PS-36, Chd. alongwith police party while

performing the naka duty at bridge near Guru Nanak Public

School Hostel Sec-36, Chandigarh. At about 2.05 PM they

nabbed one person namely Malkeet Singh (37 yrs) S/o Sh.

Baldev Singh R/o Vill-Miyanpur, Distt. Ropar, PB while

possessing 06 grams Smack/Heroin without any valid permit or

license.

46. 24.02.2017 Recovery in case FIR No. 227 dt. 5.10.16 u/s 379, 356

added 411 IPC

This case has been registered on the complaint of Suraj

Kumar R/o H. No. 550 Sector 45 Burail Chandigarh. He reported

that on 5.10.16 he was returning to his home from his office SCF

No. 131, PH-7, Mohali, PB by bicycle. At 8.25 PM when he

reached at bridge Sec 53 Chd, in the meantime three unknown

miscreants snatched his mobile phone bearing sim no.

8873725702 and flee away from the spot.

During the course of investigation on 24.2.17 juvenile R/o

Distt. Mohali, PB was apprehended and snatched mobile phone

was recovered from his possession.

47. 02.03.2017 One arrested for stealing purse

A girl resident of Sector 23, Chandigarh alleged that Pankaj

Thakur R/o # 2261-A, Sector 20-C, Chandigarh was caught red

handed while he was stealing her purse from Activa Scooter No.

CH03-V-6595 parked near Fragrance Garden, Sector-36,

Chandigarh on 01.03.2017. Accused has been arrested in this

case. A case FIR No. 70, U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered

in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

48. 03.03.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Jagsir Singh R/o Village Dhindoli, PS.

Garhi, Distt. Jind. (HR) near ISBT, Sector 43, Chandigarh and

from his car No. CH01-AJ-1100. A case FIR No. 77, U/S 21 NDPS

50. 29.03.2017 Workout of Case FIR No. 273 dt. 13.11.16 U/S 379

added 473, 411 IPC

Complainant Santpakash Yadav S/o Betal Yadav H.No. 921/C

Vill Dhanas Chandigarh reported that on 7.11.16 at about 5AM,

he had parked his grey colour Activa Scooter No CH01AX-8910,

chassis No. ME4JF501BE8762520, Engine No. JF50E80761449,

model-2014 at Open place infront of memorial of Beant Singh

Sec 42 Chd and went to lake for chhatt puja. At 7 AM when he

returned back he found that his vehicle was not there. The

alleged that some unknown person has stolen it.

During the course of investigation on 13.2.17 stolen

Activa Scooter No CH01AX-8910 taken into police possession

u/s 102 Cr.PC. from PS-11, Chandigarh alongwith fake number

plate and same were deposited in malkhana of PS-36, Chd as

the accused Ram Kumar was earlier arrested by the PS-11 in

case FIR No. 178 dt. 28.9.16 u/s 379, 411 IPC PS-11, Chd. and

during interrogation he disclosed that he has also stolen many

other vehicles in the city. Later on, he was sent to judicial

custody. On 29.3.17 accused Ram Kumar (27 yrs) S/o Sh. Prem

Shankar R/o # 155, Vill-Kansal, Distt. Mohali, PB. was arrested

in the above noted case

51. 29.03.2017 Workout of case FIR No. 68 dt. 27.2.17 U/s 379 added

411, 473 IPC

This case was registered on the complaint of Satpal Singh S/o

Sh Darshan Singh R/o H No 106 Vill Maloya Chd. He reported

that on 15.2.17 at about 8.00 AM he had parked his Hero Honda

splendor M/Cycle No CH01-AC-7986, Chassis No.

MBLHA10EJAHE09153, Engine no. HA10EAAHE714513, Colour

black, model 2010 in the parking of Fragrance Garden Sec 36

and went inside for walk. At about 8.45 AM when he returned

back he found that some unknown person had stolen his

M/Cycle.

During the course of investigation on 29.3.17 accused Ranbir

Singh (20 yrs) S/o Rajinder Singh R/o Vill Dusarna PS Kurali

Distt Mohali PB was arrested and recovered stolen M/cycle

CH01-AC-7986 from his possession. During further interrogation

he confessed u/s 27 Evidence Act. that he had also stolen

another M/Cycle in the parking of Gurudwara Fatehgarh Sahib.

52. 29.03.2017 One arrested with two boxes containing 24 bottles of

liqour

HC Kartar Singh 809/CP PP-61 along with police party while

performing the patrolling duty in Vill-Kajheri, Chd. they nabbed

one person namely Jaswinder Singh (37 yrs) S/o Sh. Balwinder

Singh R/o # 1105, Sec. 68, Mohali PB near Sunrise Hotel Vill-

Kajheri,Chd. while he was possessing Two boxes wine

containing 24 bottles i.e. (Blender pride 12 bottles 750 ML each,

Imperial blue 12 bottles 750ML) without any valid permit or

License and trying to fled away in his Mohindra Bolero No.

PB65F-3200.

53. 09.04.2017 Two arrested for fake number plate

A Case FIR No. 100 U/S 473,411 IPC has been registered in PS-

36, Chandigarh against Ajay R/o C/O Pyare Lal Ka Makan,

backside bakery, Hallo Majra, Chandigarh who has been arrested

near Beant Singh Memorial Sector-42, Chandigarh while using

fake registration number CH01-U1229 on Yahama M/Cycle.

Accused arrested in this case.

54. 06.05.2017 One arrested under Excise Act and recovered beer

Chandigarh Police arrested that Babloo Shah R/o# C69,

Shivalik Vihar, Naya Gaon, Mohali, from near 42/43, D/Road and

recovered 150 boxes of Beer from his bolero jeep. A Case FIR

no. 127, U/S 61-1-14 Excise Act has been registered at PS- 36,

Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

55. 07.05.2017 One arrested under Excise Act and recovered Wine and

beer

Chandigarh Police arrested Raj Kumar, Owner of old Wine

Shop Vill. Kajheri Chandigarh, who stored 118 Boxes of English

Wine, 260 Boxes of Beer and 144 Quarters English Wine at said

Wine Shop. A Case FIR no. 128, U/S 61-1-14 IPC has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

56. 30.05.2017 Workout of Case FIR No. 142 dt. 30.5.17 u/s 341,324,34 IPC PS-36

Complainant Kamal (45 yrs) S/o Sh Didar Singh R/o #

5752, Maloya Colony, Chd. stated that on 30.5.17 at about

12.05 AM when he was coming from Sec-42 to Sec-43 Tandoor

Dhaba near Traffic Booth Sec-43 on foot and reached near Distt.

Court Sec-43, meantime 3-4 boys wrongfully restrained him and

starting beating him. Out of them one boy stabbed him on his

left arm. Due to this, blood was oozing from his arm and he raised an alarm and all were flee from the spot.

During the course of investigation on 30.5.17 two

accused namely Jalaludeen (19 yrs) S/o Kallu R/o # 13,Vill-

Kajheri, Chd. Ajay (19 yrs) S/o Sh Chander Pal R/o # 15, Vill-

Kaheri, Chd. were arrested and two Juvenile (16 yrs) & (14 yrs)

57. 30.05.2017 Workout of Case FIR No. 32 dt. 30.1.17 u/s 356,379 added 411 IPC PS-36, Chd.

Complainant Kanta Bhatia (62 yrs) W/o Lt. Sh. Naresh

Kumar Bhatia R/o # 1092, Sec-42, Chd. stated that on 30.1.17

at about 1 PM when she was starting her Activa Scooter which

was parked infront of # 1131, Sec-42, Chd. In the meantime

black colour M/Cycle (number not know) borne two youth age

about 23-24 stopped his vehicle near by her scooter and pillon

rider snatched her gold neck chain weight about 20 gram and

fled from the spot.

During the course of investigation on 2.6.17 accused

Abhishek Chaudhary (19 yrs) S/o Sh. RashPal Singh R/o near

Gurudwara Vill-Dhanas, Chd. & Permanent add. Gopipur Dehra,

PS Dehra, Distt. Kangra HP has been arrested and recovered snatched property from his possession.

58. 01.06.2017 Work out of Case FIR No. 146 dt. 1.6.17 u/s 473,411 IPC PS-36, Chd.

HC Pawan Kumar 3383/CP PP 43 Chd alongwith police

party were performing the naka duty keeping in view of Anti-

Snatching point at road near Distt. Court Sec-43, Chd. At about

5.40 PM on a secret information they nabbed one juvenile who

was riding on a Activa Scooter affixing fake number CH03X-2402

with tape on the front and rear side. On checking the engine

and chasis number of the vehicle his real number was found

CH01-AX-9186 and same was found stolen in the area of PS-39

and case FIR No. 92 dt. 30.3.17 U/S 379 IPC PS-39, Chd was

already registered in this regard. On this, fake number plate as

well as vehicle in question taken into police possession.

59. 28.06.2017 Two arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Gurpreet Singh R/o # 107, DMC,

Chandigarh near ISBT-43 Chandigarh and recovered 12 drug

injections and 5 bottles Avil drug 10 ML from his possession. A

case FIR no. 195, U/S 22 NDPS ACT has been registered in PS-

36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in progress.

Chandigarh Police arrested Vicky R/o # 719/15, near Mandir

BDC, Sector-26, Chandigarh from Sector-61/52, Dividing Road,

Chandigarh and recovered 14 drug injections from his

possession. A case FIR no. 199, U/S 22 NDPS ACT has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. Investigation of the case is in

progress.

60. 06.07.2017 One arrest in theft case

Sh. Jai Krishan Nath R/o Guga Mari Temple, Sector-36B,

Chandigarh reported that unknown person stolen 2 Silver Chain

of Mukat from Guga Mari Temple, Sector-36/B, Chandigarh.

Chandigarh Police arrested Mahesh Negi R/o # 1144/A, Sector-

35B, Chandigarh from Sector-61/52 Dividing Road, Chandigarh

and recovered 16 Injection of Buprenorphine from his

possession. A case FIR no. 206, U/S 22 NDPS Act has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

62. 09.07.2017 One arrested NDPS Act

Operation Cell of Chandigarh Police Asif Khan R/o # 2538, Ph-

11, Mohali (PB) near ganda nala, dividing road Sector-42,

Chandigarh and recovered 210 gram of opium from his

possession. A Case FIR No. 211, U/S 18 NDPS Act has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

63. 16.07.2017 On 16.7.17, secret information was received that Sulakhan

Singh @ Sukhi and others were running the business of

supplying girls for prostitution and charging huge money. On this

information a team was constituted under Deepak Yadav, DSP

South, assisted by Insp Nasib Singh, SHO PS-36, SI Hari Om,

L/SI Sarita Ray and other police officials including lady force.

Decoy customer was arranged, Rs 10,000/- numbered notes

were handed over to the decoy customer and trap was laid near

ISBT Sector-43, Chandigarh. The alleged person came with girls

in white Swift Car and approached by decoy customer.

Accordingly Sulakhan Singh @ Sukhi s/o Gurbachan Singh R/o

H.No 1209, Sector-41B, Chd age 30 years along with driver of

white Swift Maruti car, Gurdarshan Singh and three ladies were

arrested from Exit gate ISBT, Sector-43, Chd.

On interrogation, it has been revealed that this gang

operates in Tri-city, which uses to supply the girls to customers

by charging hefty amount. They attract customers by old

references, friend’s networks and social media. Other gang

members are yet to be arrested. Accused Sulakhan Singh and

Gurdarshan Singh are under 2 days police remand.

Profile of accused

Sulakhan Singh @ Sukhi is drug addict and has previously been

arrested in case of NDPS Act in PS-Zirakpur and 25 gram of

Heroine was recovered from the accused.

64. 18.07.2017 One arrested for theft

Sh. Shiv Kumar R/o # 1498, Sector-42/B, Chandigarh

alleged that Rajan R/o # 41, BSNL Colony, Sector-43/A,

Chandigarh was caught by complainant while he was running

after stealing Rs. 236/- from chest/fund of SD Mandir, Sector 42,

Chandigarh. Accused has been arrested in this case. A case FIR

No. 225, U/S 380, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36,

Chandigarh.

67. 24.07.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Bhupender Pal R/o Village- Hayala

Naya Sahar (PB) from Attawa Chowk, Chandigarh and recovered

20 Injections each 2 ML from his possession. A case FIR No. 238, U/S

22 NDPS act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

68. 30.07.2017 One arrested for theft and placing fake number plate

Sh. Harkiranjit Singh R/o # 1249/2, Sector 43, Chandigarh

reported that someone has stolen his Maruti car No. CH01-X-6336

from near District Court, Sector 43, Chandigarh. Later accused

namely Rajesh Kumar Sharma R/o Village Nada, Mohali (PB) has

been arrested in this case who placed fake number CH03-6725 on

said car. A case FIR No. 249, U/S 379, 411, 473 IPC has been

registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

69. 24.08.2017 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sham Lal R/o871, TIN Colony, Sector-52,

Chandigarh, near TIN Colony, Sector-52, Chandigarh on 23.08.2017

and recovered 875 Gm. Ganjha from his possession. A case FIR No.

289, U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

70. 26.11.2017 Recovery of stolen property

Chandigarh Police arrested Sunil R/o # 204, Mittar Niwas

Colony, Kishangarh, Ajmer, Rajasthan and Dharampal R/o Village

Duzod, Tehsil Distt. Siker, Rajasthan near Attawa Chowk, Chandigarh

and recovered gold & silver jewelry, cash Rs. 7,22,570/- from their

possession. A case FIR No. 417, U/S 411 IPC has been registered in

PS-36, Chandigarh.

Distt. Sikar, Rajasthan while they were wandering at Attawa chowk

Sec-42 side hanging the bags on their shoulers. On the basis of their

suspicion, the checking of their bags were carried out in the presence

of another two eye witness and one white colour jewellery box

containing 2 gold type Kara, one red colour jewellery box containing

one heavy gold type chain, gold type neckless, mangal Sutra gold type

& black pearls, one gold type chain, two gents gold type rings, two gold

type ladies Rings, gold type Chain with Locket, gold type locket, 4 gold

type Bengals, 12 pairs of gold type topas, one pair of gold type ear-

ring, five gold type nose pin, one gold type nose ring, one small red and

blue colour bag containing 76 silver type coins and one piece of silver

type, eight pair of silver type anklet, two silver type clips, 8 silver

type foot finger ring, one small bowl silver type & one silver small jug

one pair of hand gloves, one meter rope white and black in colour and

one another cotton mask cloth open from both side & one red colour

opened plastic packet containing chilli powder were recovered from

the bag from accused Sunil and another bag holiding in the shoulder of

accused Dharampal containing Cash Rs. 7,22,570/- were recovered as

they could not produce any receipt regarding keeping these ornaments

or other items in their possession.

Gang rape acussed arrested

Chandigarh Police had already arrested one accused Mohd. Irfan in

case FIR No. 411, dated 18.11.2017 U/S 376(D), 376(2)(G), 506 IPC of

PS-36, Chandigarh on 24.11.2017.

Chandigarh Police has succeeded in arresting remaining two accused

persons with sincere efforts of teams sent for their arrest.

Yesterday i.e. 25.11.2017, the teams of Chandigarh Police arrested

Kismat Ali @ Poppu s/o Abdul Ghaffar r/o Village Kastuni Purap,

Amethi (UP) age 21 years and Mohammad Garib s/o Idrish Village

Pithla, Distt Faizabad (UP) age 21 years. Accused Kismat Ali was

arrested from village Musafirkhana, Amethi (UP) and Mohammad Garib

was arrested from village Lakhori, distt Faizabad (UP). Both these

accused along with Mohd. Irfan planned together to commit the crime.

The test identification parade of both accused has been completed

and victim has identified both the accused. The police remand will be

sought from the Hon'ble Court.

Profile of two accused: Both accused were living in same locality and

well known to each other. Accused Mohammad Garib is married. Both

accused are uneducated. They are labourers who use to work wherever

they get opportunity. They came to Zirakpur (PB), 4-5 years back

along with their parents and living in Jhuggis behind JP Hospitals,

Village Pabhat, Zirakpur, Distt. Mohali (PB). 72. 14.12.2017

Gang arrested for demanding extortion money and kidnapping

A Case FIR No. 440 Dt. 11.12.17 U/S 386,506,34 added 364-A, 395

IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act was registered in PS-36, Chd on the

complainat of complainant resident of Burail, Chd. On 8.12.17 at about

5.45 PM he received extortion / threatening call that one punjab

based gangster namely Kali Bhai want to meet him at Lake Sec-42, Chd

if you fail to do so then you will killed. On this, he reached at lake

Sec-42 by his friend white colour Scorpio car No. PB-65-AL-6933,

where 4 persons forcibly sit in his car and on the gun points they took

him in Maloya side and after that they again brought him near Stadium

of Sec-42 and then lead towards the jungle of Mohali side, where they

were uttering their name themselves as prince, Aman, Moni & Asham

started assaulting him & threw him from the car at about 8 PM and

demanded Rs. 2 Lakh and took his vehicle. Later on, he again received

another calls demanding extortion money. Thus complainant reported

that alleged person has kidnapped him with the intention to extort

money and kept his scorpio car with them.

With the efforts of Police Station Sector 36, Chandigarh the

accused namely Amandeep Singh (23 yrs) S/o Avtar Singh R/o H.No.

1046-D, Vill-Chajju Majra Colony, Mundi Kharar, Distt-Mohali, PB,

Kulwinder Singh @ Lovely (28 yrs) S/o Karamjit Singh R/o # 879/B

LIC Colony, Mundi Kharar, Distt. Mohali, PB. Islaam (31 yrs) S/o Nisar

Ahmed R/o H.No. 12 Vill. Badhedi Sec 41 Chd & Manmohan Singh &

Moni (31 yrs) S/o Gurcharan Singh R/o # 111 Vill. Badhedi Sec 41 Chd

have been arrested on 13.12.17 whereas one juvenile namely (17 yrs)

has been apprehended on 14.12.17 in this case.

Complainant reported that on 18.12.17 after dropping her friend at

Sec-35 when she reached Light point Sec-34/35 by her car, meantime

one Innova Car No. PB22-N-8102 borne by three youth starting

chasing her. On this, she moved her car toward various sectors to

avoid them but they continuing follow her. Finally she stopped her and

she rang 100 number and they escaped from the spot.

During the course of investigation and efforts of Chandigarh police

Complainant reported that on 21.12.17 after dropping her friend at

Sec-43 while she was returning to her home on Scooter No. CH-49-T-

5421. At about 11.55 PM when she reached near roundabout Sec-43

meantime one Motor Cycle borne 3 youth starting chasing her and

obstruct her way by stopping the M/Cycle infornt of her scooter. On

this she pulled out the key of scooter and raised an alarm. On this,

with the help of people one accused namely Ajay was nabbed whereas

remaining two accused managed to flee from the spot. She further

added that they could not note down the registration number of the

alleged vehicle.

During the Course of investigation and efforts of Chandigarh police

while he was trying to deliver three LED TV affixing fake logo of

Samsung company ED to someone in Kajheri on his Santro Car No.

CH03-0650. 76. 26.02.2018 Gang of Snatchers arrested

Chandigarh Police achieve a major success by arresting three

accused namely Damanpreet Singh (19 yrs) S/o Sh. Jagmohan Singh

R/o # 583, Sec-22 A, Chd, Harinder Singh (19 yrs) S/o Sh. Gurjit

Singh R/o # 3598, Sec-22 D, Chd. & Samrath (19 yrs) S/o Sh. Kamal

R/o # 3412, Sec-22 D, Chd who were active in snatching in Chandigarh

as well as surrounding area Mohali & Panchkula.

A case FIR No. 62 dt. 25.2.18 u/s 356,379, 34 IPC

PS-36, Chandigarh was registered on the complaint of Ms. Gouri Singh

(21 yrs) D/o Sh. Hari Raj Singh R/o # 155, Sec 36 A Chandigarh,

regarding snatching of her black colour Mobile Phone make Samsung

bearing sim No. 7087309896 near Verka Booth Sec-36 by M/Cycle

No. PB65-AG-1888 borne three miscreants.

Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case a special

team under the supervision of me was constituted and the said team

have done the commendable job and conducted the raids at the

residence of culprits and arrested all the accused within 12 hours and

recovered snatched mobile from their possession and also seized the

offending M/Cycle No. PB65-AG-1888 used in the crime. During

interrogation it reveals that Damanpreet Singh (s/o HC in Punjab

Police) was riding the motor cycle and Harinder Singh had snatched

the mobile phone whereas Samrath accompanied them for joy riding.

They were produced before the court on 26.2.18

and obtain one day police remand. Further interrogation to ascertain

the more involvement of snatching is continuing.

77. 19.03.2018 One arrested with Drugs

SI Chander Singh 1044/CHG PP 43 Chd alongwith police party while

performing the Naka duty at back Side Distt Court sec 43, Chd on

18.3.18. At about 7.05 PM they saw that one pedestrian was coming

from Kajheri side holding in hand one plastic bag toward the said naka.

On seeing the police party ahead he immediately turn back and moved

toward the jungle side. On the basis of suspicion, he was nabbed by

the police party who disclose his name Arun Singh @ Goldi (21 yrs) S/o

Sh Chaman Singh R/o # 1480 Small Flats Dhanas Chd & presently

residing in R/o # 1371 Tin Colony sec 52 Chd from the said naka and

during the search 1Kg & 175 gram Ganja was recovered from him

without any valid permit or license. A case FIR No. 88, U/S 20 NDPS

Act was registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. 78. 18.04.2018 One arrested for fixing Fake Number plate on Motor Cycle

On 18.4.18, ASI Karamjit along with police party was

performing the naka duty at turn village Attawa & Sec-36 near DSOI,

Sec-36 Chd. At around 4 PM they nabbed person Vishal Thakur (30

yrs) S/o Sh. Balbir Singh Thakur R/o # 357 Dasmesh Nagar Balongi

Distt. Mohali PB. while he was riding a M/Cycle Chassis No.

ME4JC714KGT053847, Engine No. JC71ET03181 affixing fake

Number plate No. HP-14-B-8175 on it instead on real number No. CH-

49-T-2263.

During the course of investigation on 18.4.18 accused Vishal

Thakur has been arrested.

79. 30.04.2018 Theft cases solved

A case Fir No. 158 dated 30.04.2018 U/S 379 IPC was registered on

the complaint of Sh. Rajnish Kumar R/o # 2301, 1st floor, Sector 52,

Chandigarh in which he reported that unknown person stolen away his

black colour Splendor Motor Cycle No. CH01-AT-7880 on night

In another instance, one complainant Sh. Bablu Jha R/o Sector 52,

Chandigarh reported that someone has stolne his juice rehri from near

his residence on night intervening 04/05.05.2018. A case FIR No. 161,

U/S 379, 411 IPC has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh. During

course of investigation two persons were arrested in this case and

stolen porperty recovered from their possession.

80. 20.05.2018 Drug peddlar arrested and two apprehended for consuming liquor

at public place.

The staff of PS-36 headed by SI Chander Singh 1044/CHG PP

43 Chd nabbed oner person near Light Point Judicial Academy Sec 43

Chd toward ISBT-43 and recovered 12.60 gm heroin from his

possession. Besides this, During this period 2 cases u/s 68(1)(B) PP

Act 2007 & 510 IPC were registered and 2 person were nabbed while

consuming liquor at public place.

81. 21.05.2018 Drug peddler arrested

On 20.05.2018, SI Jang Bahadur PP-61 Chd alongwith police

party nabbed one pedestrian near Taxi Stand Sec-52 while possessing

10.2 gram smack without any valid permit or license.

82. 24.05.2018 House Theft and Burglary cases solved

Staff of Police Station Sector 36, Chandigarh arrested one

person in two cases i.e one House theft and another Burglary

committed at # 783, 1st floor, Sector-43-A, Chandigarh and # 3032,

Sector-35, Chandigarh. Two cases i.e. case FIR No. 179 dt. 12.5.18 u/s

380 IPC and FIR No. 196 dt. 21.5.18 u/s 380 IPC PS-36, Chandigarh

have been solved. The stolen property i.e. Hundai Creata car No.

CH01-BF-5002, Mobile Phone (Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy

Note 3 NEO, XAIOMI M12), Tablet-XAOMI-i Pad, Laptop make

Lenevo, Purse in FIR No. 179 and DSR Camera, Mobile Phone make

REDMI one Gold Ring, one Titan watch and Cash Rs. 9000/- in FIR No.

196 have been recovered from his possession.

person while carrying 4 boxes of liquor at dividing road, Sector 52/53

84. 14.06.2018 One arrested under NDPS Act

Chandigarh Police arrested Sohan Lal R/o # 1535, Teen Colony,

Sector-52, Chandigarh near light point, Sector-61/52, Chandigarh and

recovered 880 gram Ganja from his possession. A case FIR No. 228,

U/S 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chandigarh.

85. 01.08.2018 Snatching cases solved

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success in “Snatching Cases” with

the arrest of two snatchers by a team of Police Station-36

Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of snatching incidents a special

team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially

snatching incidents in southern area. The Special team did

commendable job by arresting the accused Deepak S/o Uttam Rao R/o

Vill Sahi Majra near PTL Mohali, & Sandeep Kumar S/o Raj Kumar R/o

H No 1034, Sector 52, Chd. With the arrest of these accused two

cases i.e FIR No. 276 dt. 25.7.18 u/s 356,379 IPC PS-36 & FIR No.

277 dt. 25.7.18 u/s 356,379 IPC PS-36 have been worked out with the

recovery of 2 snatched mobile phones. The Motor Cycle used for

committing crime has been recovered from their possession. Despites

this 09 other expensive mobiles which were snatched by them in other

places of Chandigarh & Mohali have been recovered from their

possession so far.

Accused Deepak is habitual criminal and his previous criminal record is

as under :-

Modus Oprandi:-

During their interrogation it is revealed that the accused

Deepak was released from jail about 2 months back. After released

from the jail he joined Sandeep Kumar for committing snatching. Both

the accused are habitual to take drugs, so they are indulge in such

type of crime. They used to target the pedestrians/victims carrying

Costly Cell Phones. They follow the person/victim and one of them

starts conversation with victim and other one managed to snatch

phones and run away on their bike.

86. 08.08.2018 Night Search conducted Village Kajheri & Tin Colony Sector 52

A special night search was carried out on intervening night of

8/9.8.18 from 3.30 AM to 6 AM, at Village Kajheri & Tin Colony

Sector 52 Chandigarh under the close supervision of SDPO‟s and

SHO‟s. Total 42 Police officials from Police Station 36, 49, 34, 31

were deployed in this search operation. Police Staff from Tango

Reserve, Operation Cell were also deployed. Three Nakas were laid

down at the entry and exit point of village Kajheri Chandigarh for

checking of vehicles. Apart from that 8 police parties were deployed

for search operation at inner areas. During this search operation 71

suspected persons were rounded up and 12 stranger roll have been

issued.

All above special checking drives are being conducted under

directions of SSP/UT, Ms. Nilambari Jagdale, IPS issued to all the

SDPOs/SHOs of police stations in their respective areas. These

special drives are being conducted by Police Stations staff under the

close supervision of SDPOs and SHOs. All the SDPOs & SHOs have

been briefed about the safety, security of citizens especially Women

& Children and maintenance of law & order in their respective

jurisdictions.

87. 09.08.2018 Snatching cases solved by PS-36

Keeping in view the increasing of snatching incidents a

special team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime

specially snatching incidents in southern area. The Special team did

commendable job by arresting the accused Vinayak S/o Lt. Sh. Govind

Sharma R/o Flat No. 22, Sherest Housing Complex Zirakpur, Mohali, &

Kamal Verma S/o Shiv Charan Verma R/o H NO. 2742, Sector 40 C

Chd. With the arrest of these accused one Case FIR No. 273 dt.

24.7.18 u/s 356, 379,34 IPC PS-36 case of snatching has been worked

out with the recovery of one snatched mobile phone. The vehicle used

for committing the crime i.e. I-10 Car No. HR 12 D 0012, has also been

recovered from. Apart from that one more mobile phone Samsung has

also been recovered from their possession, which was snatched by

them from Mohali.

During their interrogation it has been revealed that both the

accused are drug addicted and after taking drug they used to target

the pedestrians/victims carrying Costly Cell Phones and snatch phones

Station-36 Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of snatching incidents a special

team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially

snatching & robbery incidents in PS area. The Special team did

commendable job by arresting the accused Ravi S/o Vinoj Kumar R/o

# 77 Gwala colony Maloya Chd & Vinay S/o Ramji Lal R/o # 33 Gali No.

33 Jujhar Nagar Mohali PB. Who were involved in 3 snatching cases i.e

PGI, Sec-38 and Sec-53, Chd which they have committed on 3.8.18.

With the arrest of these accused case FIR no. 286 dated

4.8.18 u/s 392,34 IPC and one case FIR no. 314 dated 4.8.18 u/s

356,379 IPC of PS-39 have been w/out and 3 mobile phones involved

in these cases have also been recovered. The vehicle used for

committing the crime i.e. Honda Activa, has also been recovered from

them.

Previous criminal record – As per interrogation of these accused it

has been revealed that they were involved and arrested in two cases in

Mohali, PB.

Modus Oprandi:-

During their interrogation it has been revealed that both the

accused are drug addicted and after taking drug they used to target

the pedestrians/victims carrying Costly Cell Phones and snatch phones

from them on knife point and run away by their vehicle activa. After

committing the crime they went to Haridwar and Rishikesh for taking

Kawar (jal).

This case is still under investigation and more recovery is

expected from their custodial interrogation. The 3rd accused who is

involved in the above said snatching and robbery cases is absconder,

after his arrest more recoveries are expected from him. 89. 09.09.2018 Missing boy traced by Chandigarh Police

Today at about 5:30 pm an information was received that one boy

namely Shivam S/o Rajesh R/o House No 635 Vill Kajheri Chandigarh

age about 8 years wearing red T-shirt blue nikkar has been missing

from his house from 2 pm,

On this information all the beat parties of ps 36 sent to vill kajheri

for searching the missing boy, With the sincierity shown by ps-staff,

in serching of missing boy, The PS staff succeded to trace the missing

boy from near outer area village kajheri with in one and half hour, HC

Puran Chand and HC Biraham pal recognised the boy as per his

description given wearing clothes, Thereafter the identification of

the boy got conducted from his parents and boy handed over to them.

The parents of boy appreciated and thanked police officials.

worked out with the recovery of Expensive watch, perfumes. Two

Laptops make Toshiba and HP. Chain , Clothes. Accused Sumit @ Gyani

is habitual criminal and facing trail in one dozen criminal cases of

snatching, theft and burglary in Chd.

Accused Jitender is habitual criminal and facing trail in half dozen

criminal cases of snatching, theft and burglary in Chandigarh.

Modus Oprandi:-

During their interrogation it is revealed that the accused

Sumit @ Gyani was released from jail about 3 months back. After

released from the jail, he joined committing burglary incidents. They

used to identify locked houses in day time and target them by

breaking their locks in late nights. This case is still under investigation

and one more accused is absconded and more recovery is expected

from their custodial interrogation.

91. 08.11.2018 Chandigarh Police achieved a major success in “Cheating case” by

arresting 7 accused by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 31.10.18 Case FIR no. 388 dt. 31.10.18 u/s

419,420,468,34 IPC, PS-36, Chd was registered on the complaint

of Mr. Pappu Kumar S/o Mahendra Pal R/o H No 1511, Sec 52, Chd.

Age 35 yrs in which he stated that on 31.10.18 in morning two unknown

persons (one Sikh & one Hindu gentleman) came at his residence and

introduced themselves as Income Tax Officers by showing their fake

ID cards. The said men started frisking their house and taken away

one bag containing Cash Rs 8 Lakhs, One gold necklace (2 tolas), 2

ladies gold ring, 2 gents gold rings, silver and some documents. The

alleged persons told that their Office is situated at backside ISBT 43

and if he wants to release the property they have to come with proof

of the said property at their office. There after, complainant

searched IT office near ISBT, Sec-43, Chd but when they did not

found the same they informed the Police about the incident.

During the course of investigation on 7.11.18 the following accused

During the course of interrogation of accused the story

behind this incident has come to light that complainant‟s mother are

three sisters who are having 5 son in laws and all are residing in

Patran, Distt. Patiala, Pb. The accused Virender Singh who is cousin

brother of Ramandeep Singh the brother-in-law of complainant, got

information that Mrs Shakuntla the mother-in-law of Ramandeep

Singh is having a huge amount of cash and gold and silver ornaments in

her house. As the accused Virender Singh is not having cordial

relations with complaint‟s family. So he along with his friend accused

Prem Singla hatched the criminal conspiracy to get out the money and

gold ornaments from the house of complainant. In furtherance of this

conspiracy they made contact with Charanjit @ Channi & Vicky who are

previously involved in robbery cases in Barnala & Jalandhar Pb. Approx

15 days before the crime accused Virender along with Prem Singla and

Manish came at Sec-52, Chd and Virender Showed them complainant‟s

house and they made reccee around the house.

After that accused Charanjit, Vicky, Amarbir, Manish, Bhupinder,

Virender & Prem Singla with the connivance of each other made plan

to commit this crime and constituted a fake Income Tax officers team

by preparing their fake ID cards. On 31.10.18 accused Vicky,

Amarbir, Manish, Bhupinder & Prem Singla came in Sec-52, Chd by

their I-10 car no. PB19-N-2948. Accused Amarbir and Vicky went at

house no. 1511 by introducing themselves as Income Tax officers by

showing fake ID cards. Manish was stood in front of house and rest of

the accused Prem Singla and Bhupinder were seated in the Car,

parked near School Sec-52, Chd. After committing the crime all

accused fled away by their car.

After that all accused reached at Barnala where they divided cash

about Rs.1 Lakh 15 thousand and jewellery each among them. There

after they went to their homes after taking their shares. All the

accused had spent approx Rs. 15000/- from their shares by arranging

parties.

92. 09.11.2018 Tribute to the Martyrs at National Police Memorial, Delhi

band played “Abide with me”. 93. 10.11.2018 Sports acheivements

Inspector Amanjot Singh of Chandigarh Police put in another gem in

the field of sports and also brought laurels to the country and to

Chandigarh Police by winning silver medal in common wealth judo

championship being held at Jaipur, Rajasthan India, from 6th to 10th

November. Amanjot Singh represented India in below 100 kg category

and won silver medal, in the final bout he lost to Varinder Yadav

another contender from India.

This is not first time that Amanjot Singh represented the

country in such events, but this silver medal won by him actually an

achievement for the country and motivation to the youth and the

other police officials working in Chandigarh Police. In this competition

almost 15 countries participated i.e. England, South Africa, Jamaica,

Mauritius, Mozambique, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Bangladesh,

Nigeria, Malta, Pakistan, Singapore and Botswana. Now, Amanjot Singh

is preparing for world Police & Fire games which are going to held in

China in August 2019.

94. 03.11.2018 SENSATIONAL DACOITY CASE worked out within 24 hours

WITH THE ARREST OF SIX GANG MEMBERS.

Chandigarh Police worked out a sensational dacoity case within 24

hours by arresting/apprehending six persons.

INCIDENT:-

A Case FIR No. 390 dt. 3.11.18 u/s 395 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act PS

36, Chd. was registered on the complaint of Anil Kumar (18 yrs)S/o

Ram Naresh R/o # 551, Vill Kajheri near Atta Chakki Sector 52, Chd

in which he stated that At about 9 PM, he was going towards Furniture

mkt Sec 53 from Kajheri chowk by the way of slip road of sector 53.

As when he reached in front of Sector 53 garden, suddenly six youth

persons boarded on Activa and Splender, robbed his wallet containing

cash about Rs. 200-300/- & his documents, his silver ring by giving him

fear of death on gun point. He further added that they threatened

him not to disclose the matter to anyone otherwise they will kill him

and fled away from the spot. The complainant could not note down the

exact number of m/cycle but he noted CH----4346 only. On this a

Case FIR No. 390 dt. 3.11.18 u/s 395 IPC & 25/54/59 Arms Act PS

36, Chd. at PS 36, Chd. in this regard.

INFORMATION, TEAM, INTERROGATION & MODUS-

OPERANDI:-

On 3.11.18, specific information was received by ASI Kartar Singh

that six persons involved in the dacoity at garden Sec 53, Chd. will

come from Mohali through kachha rasta sector 53, Chd and assemble

to commit such kind of crime again in Jungle area of Sector 53, Chd.

Acting on the information, a special team was constituted and the

following accused

1. Gaurav alias Golu son of Kuldeep Verma resident of Jujhar

Nagar district Mohali age 18 year.

2. Ajay alias Ninja son of Ravi resident of 5916 sec 56 age 19 yrs

have been arrested and four juveniles were also apprehended. On

their interrogation, they confessed their involvement in the dacoity

committed in Sector 53 Chandigarh.

On intensive interrogation, the plot of the dacoity was uncovered and

it was revealed that firstly they hide themselves in the dark area of

both sides of the road and stopped their vehicles about a distance of

50 yards away from their targeted place. After that they select the

single/alone person either pedestrian or on two wheeler and robbed

him on the gun point and flee on their vehicles.

RECOVERY: -

Recovered all the robbed property i.e. wallet containing cash about Rs.

200/- & his documents, his silver ring and the vehicle involved in the

crime i.e. one activa pleasure No. CH01AX-7039 and one m/c splender

No. CH01BB-4346 has also been recovered with one khilona pistol

from their possession.

95. 23.11.2018 Robbery case solved

Chandigarh Police made arrest in “Robbery case” by arresting one

accused Ricky @ Chhoti by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 19.11.18 Case FIR no. 407 dt. 19.11.18 u/s 392, 34 IPC IPC,

PS-36, Chd was registered on the complaint of Mr. Arshad S/o Hanif

Khan

Of, MauliJagran, Chd. in which he stated that he is an employee of

Indian Gas Agency and used to supply the gas cylinders door to door.

On 19.11.18 when he was present near # 1487, Sector 52, Chd., in the

meantime two boys approached him to get the gas cylinder and one of

them told him that he has forgotten his cylinder booking receipt at his

home and asked the complainant to accompany with them. Thereafter

tightly from backside and the other started beating him and robbed

his wallet containing Cash Rs. 13000/- along with Adhar Card & photo.

During the course of investigation, with the sincere efforts made by

local Police on 22.11.18, accused Ricky @ Chhotis/o Jai Kumar @

ChameliSec-52, Chd was arrested and recovered robbed Rs. 1500/-

along with adhar card of complainant from his possession. The above

96. 07.01.2019 Burglary Cases solved

Chandigarh Police achieved major success in “Burglary case” by

arresting three accused, by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of burglary incidents a special

team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially

burglary, snatching & robbery incidents in PS area. The Special team

did commendable job by arresting three burglars/thieves accused

With the arrest of these accused case FIR no. 455 dated

30.12.18 u/s 380,457 IPC which was registered on the complaint of

Ram Lal Jindal S/o Lt. Sh. Suraj Bhan R/o # 1195, Sec 42 B Chd, in

which he reported that on 22.12.18 he along with his family had left

for family trip in Rajasthan. On 30.12.18 at about 7.30 AM, when he

returned back, he found that the lock of his house was broken and 2

laptops, 2 laptop charger, two watches & artificial jewellery etc found

stolen from his house, has been w/out and above said stolen property

recovered from their possession.

Previous criminal record –

1. As per interrogation of accused Sushil Kumar it has been revealed

that he was also involved in 4 cases of property & other crime in PS-

Modi Nagar, Distt. Ghaziabad, UP.

2. As per interrogation of accused Harsh it has been revealed that

he was also involved in two cases of property crime in PS- Transport

Nagar, Merrut, UP.

Modus Operandi:-

During their interrogation it has been revealed that all the accused

come from UP and used to stay in the hotels of Chandigarh. In the day

time they watched the locked houses and targeted the same at night.

This case is still under investigation and more recoveries are

expected from their custodial interrogation.

97. 23.01.2019 Motor Vehicle Theft case solved

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success in “MV Theft” by

arresting one accused by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

Keeping in view the increasing of MV Theft incidents a special

team was constituted for prevention and detection of crime specially

MV Theft, snatching & robbery incidents in the jurisdiction of PS

area. The Special team did commendable job by arresting one vehicle

lifter namely Gurvinder Singh S/o Sukhdev Singh R/o VPO Mari

Megha, PS-Khalra, Tehsil Patti, Distt- Tarantaran, Pb. On 22.1.19. A

stolen motorcycle Passion was recovered from his possession. He was

produced in the court on 23.1.19 and obtained police custody for three

days. During his sustained interrogation, 07 more Bullet motorcycles

which were stolen from different Sectors of Chandigarh are

recovered from his possession. With the arrest of above said accused

and the recovery of 08 motorcycles, 08 cases of vehicle theft of

different police stations of Chandigarh (PS-36=03, PS-49=04, 01

remaining vehicle is taken into police possession u/s 102 Cr. PC) have

been worked out.

Modus Operandi:-

During the interrogation of accused it has been revealed that

the main target of accused was a Standard Bullet Motorcycle. He used

to steal an old motorcycle of any make and parked the same near a

Standard motorcycle already parked in the parking area of paid

parking at bus stand, and other parking area of Sector 63, Chd. He

also took a parking slip from the attendant of parking after parking

the vehicle. After some time he came again in the parking and stolen

the Standard Bullet motorcycle by showing the badly folded parking

slip to the parking attendant. So that attendant could not read the

registration number of the vehicle.

Previous criminal record –

As per interrogation of accused Gurwinder Singh it has been

revealed that accused was also involved in one of the murder

case of Police Station Khalra, Distt. Tarantaran Pb. and other

criminal cases of various police stations of Punjab.

Further interrogation is in progress and more recoveries are

expected from his custodial interrogation.

98. 27.01.2019 Burglary cases solved Keeping in view the increasing of burglary incidents in PS area, a

special team was constituted for prevention and detection of

crime specially burglary, snatching & robbery incidents. On

26.1.19 the Special team did commendable job by arresting one

accused namely Pawan Hooda (32 yrs) S/o Lt. Ramesh Kumar

Hooda R/o # 1564, Lodhi Road Complex, New Delhi. With the arrest of the accused one case vide FIR no. 23 dated

17.1.19 u/s 454, 380 IPC, PS-36, Chandigarh has been w/out and

During the interrogation of accused it has been revealed

that the accused used to come from New Delhi to appear in

Distt. Court Sector 43, Chandigarh in his previous cases by

Skoda Car No. CH01-AW-7056. He used to stay in Rain Basera,

ISBT-43 and Hotel Grand Inn, Dariya Chandigarh. After his

appearance in the court, he used to search the easy targets i.e.

locked houses by wandering in the residential area of various

sectors of Chandigarh in the said Skoda Car. He used to keep a

close watch on residential area that which family had checked

out of their houses and after that he ensured by ringing the

door bell that there is no body in the house and after

confirmation he burgled the house and stolen the cash &

jewellery.

The accused was thoroughly interrogated and he

confessed that he had committed theft in Sector 27

D, Sector 32 of Chandigarh. In this regard the

Modus Oprandi:-

During the interrogation of accused it has been revealed

that both the accused belong to a very poor family. They are

having fond of driving the vehicles especially two wheelers. So

they used duplicate key to open bike/activa and after stolen the

motorcycles/activa, they snatched the phone from the ladies

going alone. Both the accused used the stolen bike for their

ride as well as to commit crime until the fuel finished. When the

fuel is finished, they left the stolen bike there and stolen

another bike.

100. 14.03.2019 Missing/Abandoned Child Reunited

Today at about 1:15 pm one male child named Tanish S/o Sunny Singh

aged 6 years found abandoned at market sec. 35 Chd. Later on it has

come to notice that the boy is missing from Dhanas Chandigarh. So,

the information given to PS-Sarangpur. Thereafter his maternal

grand-mother Mrs. Meenakshi w/o late Vijay Singh R/o # 3274,

Housing Board Colony, Dhanas, Chandigarh came in PS-36, She

identified the boy and after verification boy named Tanish handed

over to her.

101. 21.03.2019 Burglary case solved within 24 hours

Keeping in view of the increasing of burglary, snatching & MV Theft

incidents in PS area, a special team was constituted for the prevention

and detection of crime especially burglary, MV theft & snatching

The facts of case are that the above said case was registered

on the complaint of Owais Mushtaq S/o Mushtaq Ahmed R/o H no 107

Vill Kajheri Sec 52 Chd age 25 yrs in which he reported that on

20.3.19 in the morning he went for morning walk and when he came

back ,found that some unknown person had broken the lock of his

house and stolen his wallet containing Rs-20000/- and Some

documents i.e passbooks of various banks ,RC , DL, Aadhar Card,

ATMs etc. from his house

During the course of investigation the stolen property has been

recovered from their possession. During the interrogation of accused

it has been revealed that the accused are drug addicts and they

recently escaped from D-addiction Centre, Patiala, Punjab to fulfil

their lust of consuming drugs. Due to that they started committing

thefts and other such types of crimes

102. 20.04.2019 Burglary, Snatching & MV Theft

Keeping in view of the increasing of burglary, snatching & MV Theft

incidents in PS area, a special team was constituted for the prevention

and detection of crime especially MV theft. The Special team did

commendable job by arresting 2 accused namely Sagar @ Belan S/o

Satbir R/o # 907, Tin Colony, Sector 52, Chd age 20 yrs and Vikas @

Kalu S/o Phoolkaran R/o # 107, Vill kajheri, Chd and worked out Case

FIR no. 89 dt. 17.4.19 u/s 379 added 411 IPC, PS 36, Chd.

The facts of case are that the above said case was registered

on the complaint of Karan Sharma S/o Suresh Kumar R/o H.no. 554,

Vill. Kajheri, sec 52, Chd in which he stated that he has parked his

Black colour Splendor M/cycle no. PB 27 (T)-423 in front of his

residence on date 12.4.19. Next morning he saw that his bike was

stolen by someone.

During the course of investigation, the stolen m/cycle was

recovered from their possession. Apart from that another Splendor

m/cycle No. PB 65 U 9230, stolen from Mohali was also recovered

from their possession and the same has been taken into police

possession u/s 102 Cr. PC. From their interrogation, it has been

revealed that the accused are drug addicts and used to smell of

correction fluid. They used to steal the new vehicles especially two

wheelers for joy riding.

Modus Oprandi:-

The modus Oprandi of these accused is that they are very well

known to this particular area of crime and used to make recce in odd

hours of night. They were targeted especially those vehicle which

were parked outside the houses. They always have a tool kit including

duplicate/master key, screw drivers, wire cutter & other equipments

to break the lock of two wheelers. They have also knowledge how to

break the lock and how to start the vehicle without any key.

103. 16.05.2019 Flag March in view of General Election 2019

Keeping in view the significance and sensitivity of election time, local

police along with law and order agencies are taking up various

exercises of area dominance, surprise checks and march. Today, a flag

March was conducted by Chandigarh police at Attawa and Kajheri to

strengthen the law and order and create fear in the mind of anti

social elements in view of upcoming General election 2019 104. 20.06.2019 Drug peddler arrested by PS-36

Chandigarh Police has achieved a major success by arresting one

Nigerian who is a drug paddler and carrying 82 grams heroin / smack

during a special drive launched against sale of drugs as per directions

of senior officers. The said accused was arrested by the special team

of PS-36, Chd. The said team was constituted under the supervision of

SHO-36, Chandigarh.

On 20.6.19, ASI Baljinder Singh along with along police officials was

on patrolling duty in Sector 36, Chandigarh. At about 3.50 PM, when

they reached near Dividing road Sector 36 AB, Chd, In the meantime,

they saw one Negro (Nigerian National) who was coming towards the

police party from the Dividing road 23/36, Chd. On seeing the police

party ahead, he immediately turned back and started moving towards

the opposite side. On the basis of suspicion, he was nabbed by the

police party and recovered 82 gms of Heroine from his possession. He

disclosed his name as Rapheal (20 years) S/o Cajetan R/o Uttam

Nagar, street Matiala, Delhi. Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 138 dt.

20.6.19 u/s 21 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chd

105. 22.06.2019 Theft & Snatching cases solved by PS-36

Keeping in view of the increasing of burglary, snatching & MV Theft

incidents in PS area, a special team was constituted for the prevention

and detection of crime especially burglary & snatching incidents. The

Special team did commendable job by arresting 2 accused namely

Avinash @ Golu (Age-19 years) S/o Ram Avtar R/o # 1357, EWS

Colony, Dhanas, Chd & Nasib Masih @ Sunny (Age-20 years) S/o

Varket Masih R/o # 26, Village Bar Majra, Mohali, Pb and worked out

Case FIR no. 136 dt. 18.6.19 u/s 379, 356, 34 IPC PS 36, Chd.

The facts of case are that this case was registered on the complaint

of Mohd. Samsad S/o Mohd. Tasir R/o # 7/5, Vill Kajheri, Sec 52, Chd

in which he stated that he is working as a labourer at Shop No. 41,

Furniture Mkt Sec 54, Chd. On 18.6.19, when he was returning to his

home by his cycle. At about 9.00 PM when he reached at slip road

sector 53 T-Point, meantime, three youth on motorcycle came from

backside and snatched his Redmi-5 mobile phone and fled away.

During the course of investigation the above mentioned two accused

were arrested and the snatched mobile i.e. Redmi-5 as well as the

motorcycle involved the crime i.e. TVS Star (without number plate)

has been recovered from their possession whereas one of their

associate is absconder and yet to be arrested.

Modus Operandi:-

During the interrogation of accused it revealed that both the accused

are doing job in private sector and they both are drinker & smoker.

Due to insufficient funds to fulfill their lust of drinking & smoking,

they committed the snatching for the first time.

106. 26.06.2019 Missing/abandoned girl reunited with parents On 26.07.2019, information was received that one girl age about

4 years found abandoned near matour barrier.The said girl was

not able to speak properly and tell her address or name of her

parents. On this, all beat parties were put on this work by

sharing her photographs. The photographs of said girl were

shown to general public in tin colony, pakki colony,village kajeri

sec 52, sector 61, sec 53 to search her parents. Finally her

parents namely Huyram, Pooja R/o # 531, Village Kajeri, Sec 52,

were discovered who were gone for labour in Jagatpura since

morning. The Girl namely Aaski handed over to them safely

after proper verification 107. 29.06.2019 MV Theft cases solved

Keeping in view of the increasing of burglary, snatching &

MV Theft incidents in PS area, a special team was constituted

for the prevention and detection of crime especially MV theft &

snatching incidents. The Special team did commendable job by

arresting 1 accused namely Rohit @ Chhanga S/o Satvir Singh

R/o # P 709 Tin conoly Sec-52, Chd age 19 ½ yrs and

apprehending 2 juveniles on 28.6.19 and worked out Case FIR no.

142 dt. 28.6.19 u/s 379 IPC PS 36, Chd and Case FIR no. 111

dt.30.5.19 u/s 379 IPC, PS-36, Chd. The facts of case FIR no. 142 dt. 28.6.19 u/s 379 IPC PS 36,

Chd are that this case was registered on the complaint of Phool

Chand S/o Tirbhawan R/o # 1780 Sec-52, Chd in which he

stated that on 27.6.19 someone has stolen his M/C No. CH01-

AS-8863 which was parked at outside of his house. During the

course of investigation two juveniles were apprehended in this

case and recovered stolen Discover Motor cycle no. CH01-AS-

8863 from their possession. Apart from that one Motor cycle

were got verified from MOB & NCRB Delhi, but these vehicles

were not found involved in any theft case. The juveniles were

produced in the Court and sent to Juvenile Home. The special team also arrested accused Rohit @ Chhanga

S/o Satvir Singh R/o # P 709 Tin colony, Sec-52, Chd age 19 ½

yrs and recovered Maruti Zen Car No. HR 49E 7585 which was

involved in Case FIR no. 111 dt. 30.5.19 u/s 379 IPC, PS-36, Chd

got registered by Sandeep Kumar S/o Soran Singh R/o H no

2400 Sec 52D Chd. Today accused will be produced in the

Court.

Modus Operandi:- The modus Operandi of these accused/Juveniles is that

they are very well known to this particular area. They were

targeted especially those vehicle which were parked outside the

houses and parking area. They used to steal the vehicles for joy

riding and where the fuel is over they left the vehicle there.

Thereafter, they stole another vehicle.

108. 06.07.2019 AC copper pipe theft cases solved

Keeping in view of the increasing incidents of copper pipe thefts

from the outdoor units of Split ACs, which are installed at the

roof of houses in various sectors of Chandigarh, a special team

was constituted for the prevention and detection of said theft

incidents. The Special team did commendable job by arresting

accused namely Sunny Kumar @ Sunny S/o Vijay Kumar R/o Taxi

Stand near ISBT Sector 17, Chd. With the arrest of above said

accused, 06 cases of AC Cable theft of different police

stations of Chandigarh (PS-36=02, PS-34=02, PS-19=02) have

been worked out and recovered a huge quantity of copper

cables. In FIR No. 83 dt. 11.4.19 u/s 379 IPC of PS-36, Chd,

complainant Pritpal singh s/o Lt. Sh. Gurcharan Singh R/o #

1516, Sector 36 D Chd stated that there were some problems in

AC installed on the roof of third floor at his residence. On

10.4.19, when he checked the AC he found that copper wires of

the ACs was missing and stolen by some unknown person. In another Case FIR No. 141 dt.23.6.19 u/s 379 IPC of

PS-36, Chd, the same complainant reported that during the

intervening night of 21/22.6.19, some unknown person has stolen

8 AC copper pipes from the roof of his house i.e. #1516, Sec 36

D Chd.

Modus Oprandi:-

During the interrogation of accused it has been revealed

that the accused is a drug addict and he is a nomadic person and

doesn‟t have any permanent address/stay. To fulfill his lust of

consume drugs, he started committing thefts and targeted

specially AC Copper wires. After stealing the copper cables, he

used to sell them to street vendors. During the sustained interrogation, the accused

disclosed that he used to search the easy targets in the evening

time by wandering in the residential area of various sectors of

Chandigarh. He used to racce around 4 PM -5 PM and finalize

the target by 7 PM - 8 PM. He chose the houses which have high

installation of ACs on their roofs and which are also adjoining to

the outer roads so that he could make easy escape after

stealing a good quantity of copper pipes from the outdoor units

of ACs. After that he used to sleep/stay in the adjoining parks

or footpaths near by the targeted houses. During the late hours

of night, in between 2.00 AM to 4.00 AM, he entered the house

and committed the theft of AC Copper pipes. . Previous criminal record –

As per previous record of accused Sunny, it has been

revealed that in the following theft cases he was convicted and

recently released from the judicial custody. FIR No. 166/12 of PS 39 FIR No. 468/17 of PS-17

109. 12.08.2019 Burglary, Snatching & MV Theft

Keeping in view of the increasing of burglary, snatching & MV

Theft incidents in PS area, a special team was constituted for the

prevention and detection of crime especially MV theft & snatching

incidents. The Special team did commendable job by arresting one

accused namely Chander Parkash S/o Om Parkash R/o H no. 107/14

Vill. Attawa Sec 42B Chd on 11.8.19 and worked out Case FIR no. 166

dt. 9.8.19 u/s 379 IPC PS 36, Chd PS-36, Chd.

The facts of case FIR no. 166 dt. 9.8.19 u/s 379 IPC PS 36,

Chd PS-36, Chd are that the above said case was registered on the

complaint of Manoj Kumar S/o Bacchan Singh R/o # 190, Vill Daddu

Majra, Chd in which he stated that on 6.8.19 someone has stolen his

Activa No. CH01-BS-7195 which was parked near Wine Shop Vill

Attawa, Sec 42, Chd. During the course of investigation accused has

been arrested and Activa No. CH01BS7195 recovered from his

possession. During the interrogation of accused it revealed that he

used to steal the vehicles for joy riding.

110. 12.08.2019 The Local Police has achieved a major success by arresting one

BC namely Rinku s/o Rajbir r/o # 1789, Sec 52 Chd by the team of

Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 11.8.19 ASI Ravinder Singh along with police party was

performing special checking duty in PS area in connection with the

forthcoming Independence Day. When they were checking the vehicles

at Kaccha rasta T-point sector 53, Chd, one reliable person

approached to the police party and disclosed that one person is having

illegal desi katta and coming from Mohali side on foot. In the

meantime, Police party watched that one person was coming from

Mohali side and on seeing the police party ahead, he immediately

turned back and started moving towards the opposite direction. On

the basis of suspicion he was nabbed by the police party, who

disclosed his name Rinku s/o Rajbir r/o # 1789, Sec 52 Chd. During

search, one single long barrel gun along with one live cartridge (12

bore) was recovered from his possession without any valid license or

permit. On the basis of above said facts Case FIR no. 169 dt. 11.8.19

u/s 25-54-59 Arms Act, PS-36, Chd was registered and the accused

was arrested. During the course of investigation, it has came to light

that he is also a History Sheeter (BC) of PS-36, Chd and the following

cases of rioting, extortion, theft and NDPS Act found registered

against the accused. During the further course of interrogation it has

been revealed that the accused has kept this weapon for committing

the crimes especially property crime.

111. 09.09.2019 20 Kg 200 gram Ganja Recovered

The Local Police has achieved a major success by arresting one

Shiv Parsad S/o Ram Kumar R/o Vill-Mansukh Baikunthpur, Distt-

Koriya Chattisgarh by the team of Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 09.9.19 SI Rajesh Kumar along with police party was

performing Patrolling duty duty at ISBT, Sec-43, Chd. When they

were checking the vehicles at Back Side parking near entry gate ISBT

43 Chd, they saw that one pedestrian was coming outside from the

ISBT- 43, Chd and carrying a plastic bag on his right shoulder. On

seeing the police party ahead he immediately turned back and starting

moving towards the opposite side. On the basis of suspicion, he was

nabbed by police party he disclosed his name Shiv Parsad S/o Ram

Kumar R/o Vill-Mansukh Baikunthpur, Distt-Koriya Chattisgarh age 40

yrs. While checking the plastic bag 20KG, 200GM Ganja was recovered

from his plastic carry bag. In this regard Case FIR no. 185 dt. 9.9.19

u/s 20 NDPS Act has been registered in PS-36, Chd and accused

arrested.

112. 22.11.2019 Murder case Solved

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by cracking a blind murder

case within 5-6 hours with the arrest of accused by a special team of

Police Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 22.11.19, wireless message was received that a person is lying

unconscious near # 1200 ,near Govt. toilet , Tin Colony ,Sector-52,

Chandigarh. On this information Police party reached at the spot and

found that unconscious person was already lifted to GMCH-32,Chd by

PCR staff. So, the police party reached at GMCH-32 and found that

unknown person who was brought by PCR vehicle staff at GMCH-

32,Chd was declared brought dead by duty doctor of GMCH-32, Chd.

They inspected the dead body and after inspecting the dead body,

Police party reached at the spot. The spot was inspected where no

independent eye witness met there, So, the statement of PCR Staff

was recorded and on the basis of the statement of PCR staff case FIR

no. 239 dt. 22.11.19 u/s 302 IPC was registered in PS-36, Chd.

During the course of investigation a special team under the

supervision of ASP/South was constituted and the special team was

lead by Inspector Ranjodh Singh SHO,PS-36, Chd to trace the

accused persons. The team received a secret information that

yesterday the deceased Bangala was drinking with Vipin Singh and now

Vipin Singh is leaving Chandigarh and going to Uttrakhand. On

receiving such information the team has succeeded to nab Vipin Singh

S/o Vikram Singh r/o # 186, Village Kajheri, Sector-52, Chd age 28

yrs. Vipin Singh was thoroughly interrogated and he disclosed that he

is working as a cook at Hotel Peddler Sec-35/C, Chd. On 21.11.19

during night he went to Hotel Maya Palace, Vill-Kajheri, Chd to collect

the cash of hotel on behalf of hotel owner, where he met the Hotel

worker namely Bangala. Thereafter, they both started consuming

liquor at Hotel Maya Palace, Kajheri, Chd. When the liquor was

finished they both went to purchase more liquor from Sec-52, Chd.

The accused Vipin further disclosed that deceased Bangala was

aggressive person and he used to start quarrelling on the minor issues.

When they did not get liquor from Sector-52 Bangala started abusing

and quarrelling with him. During the quarrel accused Vipin Singh

attacked with the stone on the head of Bangala, due to that Bangala

age 50-55 yrs sustained injuries on his head thereafter he fled away

from the spot. Today, he came to know that the Bangala has been

expired,so he planned to leave Chandigarh. 113. 28.11.2019 Murder Case Solved

A case FIR No 289 Dated 28.11.19 u/s 302, 201 IPC has been

registered on the complainant of Darshan S/o Charan Singh R/o H No

153, Village Faidan, Chandigarh Age 49 years, who stated that he is

residing above said address and has constructed 30-35 rooms in his

land situated at Village Faidan. The said rooms have been rented out

accordingly. He further stated that he had rented out one room to

Subodh S/o Banath Ray Vill Chadarhaya, Distt Motihari, Purv

Champaran, Bihar and another room was rented out to one Ramville

S/o Mahesh Vill Banuraj, Dist Muzafarpur, Bihar. One person Sunil s/o

Jainrai Vill Banuraj, Dist Muzafarpur, Bihar has been residing with the

said Ramville since some days. He further stated that on 27.11.19,

Subodh was taking Sunil in auto rickshaw, who was unconscious. On his

asking, Subodh stated that they were consuming liqour since morning

and suddenly, the health of Sunil became worsen and he was taking

him hospital. Thereafter, he came to know that Mohali Police found

the dead body of Sunil found at Mohali, Punjab. At about 12.34 am,

Subodh called on his mobile phone and disclosed that a quarrel was

took place with Sunil on some issue and he has murdered Sunil by

putting his head with the wall and regretted for the same. Thereon,

the complainant instructed Subodh to meet, but later his mobile phone

found switched off.

During the course of investigation, the dead body of

the deceased Sunil was brought from Mohali Police and the same has

been deposited in the mortuary at GMCH 32, Chandigarh. The

postmortem of the deceased will be got conducted after arrival of the

deceased relatives. The accused Subodh has been absconded and

teams have been constituted to arrest the accused. The investigation

is continued. 114. 13.12.2019 Huge Burglary cases solved

Chandigarh Police achieved a major success by cracking two burglary

cases with the arrest of two desperate burglars by special team of

Police Station-36 Chandigarh and recovered stolen property (i.e. cash

6 lacs as well as diamond & gold jewellery) having value Approx 1 crore.

On 22.11.19, complainant Madhu Sudan Sharma r/o # 5711,

Sec-38 West Chd stated that his sister along with family is residing

at house no. 146, Sec-36/C, Chd. On 19.11.19, they went to Goa to

attend a marriage function. When they reached on 22.11.19 and found

that someone had burgled their house and stolen cash & jewellery. In

this regard case FIR 240 Dt. 22.11.19 U/S 380,457, 411 IPC PS-36,

Chandigarh was registered.

After 4-5 days, another burglary incident was reported in

Sector 38, Chandigarh in which a safe box containing huge quantity of

gold & cash was found to be stolen. From the thorough analysis of

both spots & facts verification, it was found that there is a lot of

similarity in modus operandi of accused in both incidents and it

seemed that culprits could be same in these incidents.

On this, a special team under the supervision of ASP/South,

lead by Inspector Ranjodh Singh SHO, PS-36, Chandigarh was

constituted and assigned the task of tracking the movements of

criminals indulged in burglary & other property crimes. During

investigation, CCTV footage of vicinity was obtained and scrutinized.

Sources were also developed to identify the culprits and previously

involved criminals were also verified.

After sustained field work, diligent tracking and continuous

sincere efforts, the team did commendable job by arresting two

accused namely Shankar Thapa S/o Hem Lal Thapa R/o # 250, Room

No. 8, Ekta Colony, Vill Balongi, Distt Mohali, Pb (P. Add. Nepal) &

Shyam Mandal S/o Kishan Mandal R/o # 250, Room No. 8, Ekta Colony,

Vill Balongi, Distt Mohali, Pb (P. Add. Vill Sadar, Dist. Darbangha,

Bihar.

With the arrest of the accused, case FIR No. 240 Dt. 22.11.19

worked out and stolen property i.e. Cash as well as Diamond & Gold

Jewellery having value Approx Rs. 1 Crore have been recovered.

Interrogation & Modus Oprandi:-

During sustained interrogation, they disclosed that

they wanted to earn money for living lavish life and used to recce the

locked houses by wandering in the residential area during day time.

During recce, they shortlisted 4-5 locked houses/kothis of posh

area/sectors of Chandigarh & Mohali by marking/indication i.e. putting

newspaper in the grill/gates so that they can easily identify said house

and target one of them during late night and wee hours. They were

having a special kit bag containing cutting instruments like electronic

cutter and 4-5 specially made iron axel rods, which were used to

cut/break the locks. The special tool kit bag containing said special

instruments has recovered from their possession.

“Choron Ko Par Gaye Mor”, After committed the theft, they equally

divided the stolen property between them. Accused Shyam Mandal

kept his cash into his room at Balongi, where a marriage function was

being celebrated, where he consumed liquor and under the influence of

liquor he was flying money over the dancing ladies. Somehow, the

neighbors noticed that he has huge money and Rs. 11 Lacs of his share

was further stolen by someone from his room. Then he made call to

police but could not disclose about the source of money and then told

to police that he made the call under the influence of liquor.

115. 13.02.2020 Chandigarh Police achieved success by cracking snatching case within

10-12 hours with the arrest of accused by a special team of Police

Station-36 Chandigarh.

On 12.02.20, complainant Sobat Singh Rawat S/o Umed Singh

Rawat R/o H No 3409,d sector 15 Chandigarh reported that he was

present near Surya Hotel Sector 42, Chandigarh, in the mean time a

boy came and snatched his mobile phone make Vivo and fled away from

the spot. In this regard case FIR 30 Dt. 13.02.2020 U/S 379 A IPC

PS-36, Chandigarh was registered and special team was constituted to

work out the case.

The special team did commendable job by arresting accused

Jitender Kumar @ Munia Age 20 yrs S/o Jagdish R/o H No 139/6, Vill

Atawa, sector 42, Chandigarh within a short span of time i.e. 10-12

hours and recovered the snatched mobile from his possession. He was

thoroughly interrogated and disclosed that he has also stolen an

Activa from the parking of ISKON Mandir sector 36, Chandigarh.

Accordingly on his identification stolen Activa CH04-3930 has also

been recovered and case FIR No 224/19 U/s 379,411 IPC PS 36 has

been worked out. 116. 30.06.2020 The Local Police achieved success by arresting a gang, who cheated innocent public in

the name of organizing Chhabil/Langer.

From last few days, information was being received that some persons are

collecting the money in the name of organizing Chhabil/Langer but they were not

organizing any Chhabil/Langer and spend the collected money on their expenses. Such

type of information was also being received during last year.

On 29.6.20, same information was again received that some persons are

collecting money from residential area of Sector 42, Chandigarh. On this information,

police party reached and found that 4 persons were collecting money from the public in

lieu of organizing Chhabil/ Langar and issuing forged cash receipts which have no

serial/book numbers. They were asked about their religious organization & other details

but they could not give satisfactory reply. On suspicion, they were thoroughly

interrogated who disclosed their name as: -

1. Pritam Singh S/o Avtar Singh # 2168, Ward No. 42, Hargovindpura

Mustakganj, Ludhiana, Age 26 yrs

2. Arjan Singh S/o Amrik Singh R/o Navi Abadi, Ward No. 8, Anandpur

Sahib Distt Rupnagar Age 23 yrs

3. Gurmeet Singh S/o Iqbal Singh R/o # 07, St. No. 10, near

Lalawalapeer, Sukhram Colony Patiala, Age 28 yrs

4. Lakhwinder Singh S/o Raghbir Singh R/o # 1115, Ward No 43,

Islamganj, Ludhiana Age 24 yrs.

During interrogation, they disclosed that in the summer season, they used to collect the

money from innocent public and issue fake/forged cash receipts in lieu of organizing

Chhabil/Langar. Four forged cash receipts books have been recovered from their

possession. They further stated that the collected money was being divided among them

equally. They were residing in a hotel of Village Kajheri for the last few days and used

such trick to earn money.

They all have been booked and registered Case FIR No. 127 dt. 29.6.20 u/s 420, 471,

120 B IPC against them. Today, they have been produced before the Hon‟ble court &

sent to judicial custody.
