Location and Climate

• Poland is to the left of Germany.• Poland is under Russia and the Baltic Sea.• Poland is above Slovakia.• Poland is to the right of Belarus.• There is a lot of lightning, hurricanes,

tornadoes, and floods.• It is VERY snowy there.

Life of the People

• Some people grow apples and wheat.• It is hard to find jobs in the city.• That is why they live with all their family.

Food • For breakfast they have rolls with butter and jam

with tea.• For lunch, they have soup, stuffed meat pies, and

smoked fish, ham, or sausage.• For dinner, they have pork chops, cabbage, and

potatoes.• At 9:00 they have dessert.• For dessert they have ball-shaped donuts called

paczki .{It is pronounced pontch-ki.}• Also for dessert, they have a fruit drink called

compote.

Tourist Attractions

• The Salt Mine is Poland’s only attraction.• It’s rooms are made out of salt.• For decoration they have statues made out of

salt.

Sports in Poland

• They play soccer a lot.• The other sports are basketball, volleyball,

tennis, horseback riding, camping, swimming, mountain climbing, fishing, and skiing.
