Findings at a glance

People generally like art and history. They

have all created “art” even thought they

might not think it wasn’t art at the time.

They all seemed to say a similar things; art

and history are the paring of the visual and

historical aspects of learning. “Art and history are the paring of the visual and historical aspects of learning.”

Key points from the findings

Key points from the findings

There is to much information and no

an easy way for students to synthesize

the data the are learning in class.

“I need a convenient was to have information deliv-ered that is easy to read, accurate, and factual.”

I’m looking for an inexpensive way to continue learning about art and art history, but want this information provided on a platform that is quick, accurate and easy to read.

HOW CAN STUDENTS LEARN THE PLAIN LANGUAGE VERSION ABOUT ART AND ART HISTORY?

Redefining the Problem

WireframingFEEDBACK Ease of use

Very similar to the paper prototype, users found it easy of use.

Back ButtonTesters didn’t like not having an option to navigate back to the previous page.

Better use of linksThroughout every page, testers wanted a home button.

Location optionOn the artist pages, testers wanted to have links to a Goo-gle map where they could see the art.

HIGH FIDELITYWireframing

Tester’s were pleased with the layout, and navigation from page-to-to.

Main point, was to ensure users had convenient access to home page, menu, and search buttons.

HIGH FIDELITYWireframing

Don’t make assumptions for a solution based on your personal experiences.

The original idea evolves MANY TIMES with MANY ITERATIONS throughout the process.

TEST, TEST, TEST early and often. Ensure you don’t help tester’s through the process.
