This portfolio represents architecture and design
work from my undergraduate study at the University
of Cincinnati as well as work from various design
firms. I currently live and work in New York City.
I enjoy making homemade pasta, reading historical
fiction, working with any material that I can
make something out of, soaking up sunny days and
growing tomatoes on my fire escape.

Going to a pool house can be an experience and
a process, a cleansing progression of a series
of structures and environments. So in theory,
the person who enters feels inwardly different
at the end of their “journey”. A busy and hectic
life is the starting point and nature is the
destination. The actions of arriving at the
01
destination and preparing to return to daily
life are of equal importance. Through the
process of making rather than digitizing, there
was great emphasis on designing through plan and
section with materiality in mind.

How can a controlled arrangement of spaces be used to mentally
transition guests from daily life to a more relaxed state?
In Cincinnati, the market community is set up
with a schedule and cost commitment. At the end
of the Saturday, the market stall is torn down
and the community that once took place is gone
until the next week. A permanent solution to
this one day a week market that has no hours or
cost and allows makers, growers, non profits and

inspiration from the community markets in Italy,
France, Switzerland, Turkey and the US, the Open

Louder than a bomb is an annual youth poetry
slam for area high school students. The Metrolab
studio’s role in the competition was to create
elements such as a DJ booth, stage, and entrance
space display to support the performers. The
design needed to enhance the performance rather
than be an elaborate backdrop that distracted

Storefront Studio was a space developed by 24
UC architecture students, returning from a two
month long study abroad experience, to escape
from studio life and into a place where public
interaction could be more prevalent. Activating

inserted itself into the community for eight
weeks, which resulted in a gallery opening.
Through branding and the use of readily
available materials, the space was quickly
transformed into a studio ready to share our
ideas and experiences from abroad and how they
can be turned into projects in Cincinnati.

Food is a reason for people to gather. Certain
meals remind us of times with family and
friends. Running to the store for hot dogs and
hamburgers for a spur of the moment backyard
barbecue. Saturday evenings eating roasted
chicken and the classic iceberg lettuce salad
that my Dad insists on having at the table.

When I received news that I would be moving to
New York after graduating, I wanted to plan
several last meals with family and friends
before I left. While we may all come together
again, the circumstances will never be the same.
This is my memory of the meals that we have
shared.

Occurring during fashion week inside Chelsea
Market, the Glamour Streetglam experience was
a three-day event put on by Glamour magazine
with brands like Armani Fragrance, Gilt Shoes,
Philosophy, Garnier and several others. Inspired
by the street style of Tribeca’s Meatpacking
district, the activation was composed of

create a boutique street look and feel with
pops of Glamour pink throughout. Bold signage
on the exterior windows drew guests in while
directional graphics applied to the floor led the
guests from one brand activation to the next.

With beginnings as a simple lumber warehouse,
this project would become part of a 3 parcel
series of adaptive reuse projects to be used
as multi-tenant offices and light industrial
spaces. Inspiration came from the simplicity and
modularity of the structure as well as its clear
visibility from the highway above it.
