The ground water under the tunnel is fissure bedrock water that mainly lays in medium-grained granites and vein rocks, spreading over the fissuring in the strong and medium weathered layer. Atmospheric precipitation supplies the ground water. Depth of the ground water is 1.20 to 18.30 meters during the geological exploration.

• Two Geotextile-Two Membranes waterproofing method:
• Geotextile waterproofing layer(400g Geotextile) + Composite Waterproofing Sheet(1.5mm thick EVA waterproofing sheet+100g geotextile) + Acrylic Spray Membrane(4mm thick), the original steel plate waterproofing design cancelled because steel plate needs welding(no fire is allowed in the construction),rough handling on the welding, heavy weight, high costs, long operation period time. Adopting PMC-S saved 303 million US dollars and one year construction period time.
