Visit of Hon. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to FANUC Corporation, Japan Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi along with Prime Minister of Japan Mr Shinzo Abe visited the headquarters of FANUC Corporation, Yamanashi Prefecture, at the foothills of Mt. Fuji, on October 28, 2018. Dr. Yoshiharu Inaba, Chairman & CEO of FANUC Corporation and Sonali Kulkarni, President & CEO of FANUC India welcomed Prime Ministers of both the Countries and other high level dignitaries from both the Governments. All the Guests were personally shown around FANUC’s facilities, by Chairman Dr. Inaba and Ms Kulkarni, showcasing cutting edge technologies in Factory Automation products including Robotics. The Prime Ministers were very appreciative of the products on display and advancements made by FANUC in Industrial Automation. Shri Narendra Modi tweeted “PM Shinzo Abe and I visited FANUC Corporation, which has pioneered the usage and application of technology, particularly in Robotics”. Shri Narendra Modi was also happy to note FANUC’s investment in India with 100% Subsidiary head quartered in Bangalore, and 21 Offices across India and growing further, that have been serving the Indian Industries for past 27 years. FANUC India also serving neighboring Countries, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan. FANUC’s manufacturing facility is at foothill of Mt. Fuji in Japan and it has presence in 108 Countries including India and 263 locations worldwide. FANUC manufactures Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Systems, Industrial Robots, High Precision CNC milling, All Electric Plastic Injection Molding Machines and Wire-cut EDM machines. FANUC enjoys more than 60% Market Share globally, and 80% Market Share in India, specifically for CNC Systems. Mr Shinzo Abe visited the headquarters of FANUC Corporation, Yamanashi Prefecture, at
