Initially designed for testing purposes, pluggable bushings were introduced

already 20 years ago


■ For conventional bushing, field control

inside and outside transformer is in one

piece

■ Pluggable bushings have two parts. One

integrated in the transformer (socket), the

other consists of the conventional part

and a plug connector

■ Socket is permanently installed in the

transformer and air and oil tight
