AMU ENTRANCE EXAM

Name of the entrance :- AMU ENTRANCE EXAM (Aligarh Muslim University Entrance Exam) Stream and course :- B.A. LL.B and LL.M Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- (1) For B.A. LL.B - Candidates who have passed the senior secondary examination or equivalent with at least 50% marks in aggregate can apply for the course. BHU LAW ENTRANCE EXAM

Name of the entrance :- CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) Stream and course :- Five-year integrated LLB Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- To be eligible to appear for CLAT-2011, a candidate should have passed his / her Higher Secondary School / Intermediate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate (45% in case of SC / ST / OBC and persons with Disability). ILI CAT

Name of the entrance :- ILI CAT (Indian Law Institute Common Admission Test) Stream and course :- LL.M

Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- LL.B. Degree (with not less than 50% marks) recognized by Bar

Council of India as eligible for enrolment as an advocate in India. OR A Law Degree from a foreign

country with at least 50% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade.

Indian Law Institute invites candidates for appearing in LLM program through the Common Admission Test which mainly organized and conducted by Indian Law Institute of New Delhi. The entrance test will consist of 3 parts:

Part I(30 marks): Will consist of 30 Objective Type Questions from English Language and General Knowledge

Part II(60 marks): Will consist of 60 Objective Type Questions from Jurisprudence, Constitutional Law, IPC, Public International Law, Commercial Law (Contract and Specific Relief Act, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act), Law of Torts, Law of Limitation and Family Laws

Part III(40 marks):Will consist of 5 Subjective Type Questions from (i) Jurisprudence, (ii) Constitutional Law, (iii) IPC, (iv) Commercial Laws (Contract, Partnership and Sale of Goods Act) and (v) Family Law. Word limit for each answer will be 150 words.

For objective type questions there will be negative marking of 1/4th marks for incorrect answers.

Viva Voce will be of 20 marks.

KIIT SAT

Name of the entrance :- KIIT Law School Admission Test Stream and course :- B.A. LL.B, B.B.A. LL.B and B.Sc LL.B Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- Passed the 10+2 or equivalent in any stream with at least 50 % marks. For B.Sc.LL.B (Hons.) candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 55% marks; and Not completed 21 years of age as on 1st July 2011. Entrance Exams Date :- 1. KLSAT is an entrance examination conducted by KIIT Law School for admission in to its undergraduate Law courses. Admission to all these courses is fully through the entrance test conducted by KIIT Law School. Duration of test will be of 2 hours. 70% of the questions will be multiple choice type while remaining 30% will be of the short answer type. Questions will be asked from the following topics:

Legal Acumen, Logical & Analytical Reasoning, Mathematical & Numerical Ability, Linguistic Skills, General Knowledge.

LSAT

Name of the entrance :- LSAT (Law School Admission Test) Stream and course :- B.A. LL.B (Integrated), LL.B, LL.M

Eligibility of the Entrance Test :-

Five Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Programme 10+2 examination or equivalent with not less than 45%

aggregate marks (students graduating in 2011 can apply).

Three Year LL.B. Programme Bachelor’s degree in any subject with not less than 45%

aggregate marks (students graduating in 2011 can apply).

Two Year LL.M. Programme Three year LL.B. or five year B.A. LL.B. with not less than

CET LAW

Name of the entrance :- CET LAW (Common Entrance Test Law) Stream and course :- B.A. LL.B (Hons.), LL.B

Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- For BA LLB a candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with atleast 45% aggregate marks-50% for BA LLB Hons. (40% for BA LLB for reserved categories-45% for BA LLB Hons). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.

Also a candidate should be under 20 years (22 years for reserved categories) before 1st July, 2011.

For LLB a candidate should have done graduation (or be appearing for final year) with atleast 45% aggregate (40% for reserved categories).

The various law colleges are Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar; Punjab University, Chandigarh & Punjabi University, Patiala that grants students on the basis of Punjab CET Law exam. Question Paper will contain 300 objective type questions to be answered in 3 hours divided as follows:

Mental Ability-50 questions, General Knowledge and Current Affairs-100 questions, Aptitude for Law-100 questions, General English-50 questions

Name of the entrance :- SLS SET (Symbiosis Law School Entrance Exam) Stream and course :- B.B.A. LL.B, B.A. LL.B Eligibility of the Entrance Test :- The candidate should have passed 12th (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with minimum 50% marks (45% for S.C. /S.T. students) in one attempt ( No compartment).
