Scrooge is very greedy in his business.

His partner Marley died of age. Scrooge was very grumpy and depressed.

He went out on the town. Pedestrians quickly got

off the street when seeing him. Once he got home,

he could see a mere sight of his old partner Marley. Later on, Marley showed up as a spirit and warned Scrooge of 3 ghosts that would visit him at night.

takes scrooge back through his

childhood and makes him weaker

bringing him to rethink his decision

of disliking Christmas

The Ghost of Christmas Present

The Ghost of Christmas Present takes Scrooge to numerous places

where he sees people that aren’t as

lucky as him who have to suffer on

Christmas. Scrooge is changing for the better to lead up to

the climax.

Stave 4 is the climax of the story. Scrooge meets the ghost of Christmas yet to come. The ghost shows Scrooge the headstone of his own body in which nobody is there to mourn. Scrooge agrees to consider the Christmas Past, Present, and yet to come. That is the turning point of the story.

Scrooge realizes that he has been going along in life the wrong way. His tragedy of Marley ruined his Christmas spirit. His experiences with the ghosts have showed him that if he continues on like he is, he will die an empty soul
