The most distinguished feature of Plum Essence Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is the

ownership of certified organic farms, which offer natural, organic and pesticide-free Ume

Plums, Noni, Turmeric and various kinds of ingredients good for health and sustainability.

We supply not only ingredients for pharmaceuticals, health care and nutrient

supplements, but also a series of health supplements, cosmetics and health care.

Natural Farming

“Plum Essence Biotechnology Co., Ltd” owns two eco-farms: Taiwan Pangolin Natural

Eco-Farm (Certificate Number: TOC- C0029) and Taiwan Immortal Organic Farm

(Certificate Number: MOA1510150). All our dietary supplements are sourced from our

farms. With strict water and soil control, we endeavor to maintain the high quality of

plantation.

By natural and pesticide- free farming, we always harvest the most premium organic

ingredients including Ume Plum, Noni, Turmeric, Chinese Toona and other organic raw

material ingredients.

Through Plum Essence’s processing plant, we process our organic and pesticide-free

raw materials into healthy products beneficial to chronic patients and cancer patients. We

possess two patents on unique ingredient processing skill and biochemical extraction

technique. Therefore, we can promise the excellence of products free from all chemicals (or

artificial additives).

a. Taiwan Pangolin Natural Eco-Farm

Why Pangolin?

--written by Mr. Chang, founder of Plum Essence In 1986, my father, who got tired of urban life, bought a piece of land in Taitung and

built an eco-farm. He spent his most tranquil time there as a farmer and cultivator. He was

deep in love with the land.

Once, a hunter caught a pangolin near his farm. Mercy of the living, my father bought

it from the hunter and released it back to the wild.

Time flies, after he passed away in 2003, my family and I decided to keep the farm.

Autumn, when it went to farm’s yearly weeding, we found several lairs of pangolins and

later their traces somewhere else.

Pangolins are endangered animal which is active at night. It is an anteater and can

only be found in clear woods.

It has been 20 years or more since my father released the pangolin, but instead of

leaving, it stayed. And its descendants continue to live here. From this we learn how to

live in harmony with nature. That’s what our father always teaches us.

“Taiwan Immortal Organic Farm” (Certificate No. MOA1510150) produces organic

Noni, Turmeric, mulberry, coffee, Chinese Toona, cinnamon, lavender, rosemary, mint,

ginger, lemongrass, Prynne banana, olive and so on. Also, we are planning to cultivate

some other organic herbs in the near future.

To protect this beautiful wonderland, we insist:

Applying herbicides to crops helps to increase yield—but at a cost. That’s not what we

want.

We use manual weeding instead of toxic sprays:

Compared with manual weeding, chemical herbicides are less expensive, faster and

sometimes even more selective. However, these advantages come with drawbacks. Using

herbicides may cause damages to plants, soil, water and even lead to pollution. In addition,

bio-diversity and the habitat of animals may also be in harm. With many negative effects,

the practice of spraying herbicides and pesticides is highly controversial.

standards to set up safe food management system to ensure the quality and the hygiene of

food. The factory was passed TQCSI certificate in 2009 and obtained ISO22000

international certificate.
