Simple IP Process

Plenish soybeans are grown and marketed under an identity-preserved contracting program. The program is simple and easy to follow:

1. Clean seed hopper/boxes prior to planting Plenish soybean varieties.

2. Mark fields where planting of Plenish soybean varieties begins and ends.

3. Run combine empty prior to and after harvesting Plenish soybeans.

4. Clean storage bins, trucks and wagons prior to handling Plenish soybeans to maintain purity.

Better Beans for Everyone

In addition to offering the same strong agronomic package and yield potential as other Pioneer brand elite soybeans, Plenish soybeans offer:

Significantly improved oil functionality• 2-3X longer fry life over commodity soy oil

• Extended product shelf life in baked goods and snacks

• Increased heat stability and reduced polymer build-up on fryers and manufacturing equipment

• Allows the flavor of the food to come through, not the oil

Nutritional benefits• First biotech soybean trait with direct consumer benefits

• High in heart-healthy monounsaturated fat (~75% oleic), similar to olive oil

• 20% less saturated fat than commodity soy oil and 75% less than palm oil

• 0 grams trans fat per serving

Industrial benefits• Renewable alternative to petroleum-based oils

• Environmental stewardship

• Containment and clean-up costs

• Higher flash point, better lubricity and lower volatility

On the grow

Plenish high oleic soybean acres have doubled every year since their introduction because of the improved profit potential for farmers and improved oil characteristics for end users. Hundreds of food manufacturers, food service companies and industrial users are using or testing Plenish high oleic soybean oil in their product applications. Today, ADM, Bunge and Perdue are contracting acres to supply the high performance oil to organizations that range from Nestlé, to Sodexo food service, to Lehigh Valley IronPigs Triple-A baseball team concessions.

The benefits of Plenish high oleic soybeans are helping farmers re-capture soybean acres lost to other oils following the food industry’s transition away from partially hydrogenated oils containing artificial trans fats.
