All goes well until the tailor realizes he lacks

the one piece of twisted silk needed to sew on the final button.

He gives his last coin to Simpkin, his faithful pet cat, confident

that he will set out into the snow to purchase the much-needed

"twist." But it is Christmas Eve, that one blessed night when ani-

mals are granted the gift of speech. And so, before story's end,

we hear not only from Simpkin, but also from all of the mice he

has trapped beneath teacups for his holiday feast-well dressed

mice that have benefited for years from the tailor's elegant

scraps. Natural enemies become steadfast friends, and all work

together to complete a coat that leaves the bedazzled Mayor-and

Simpkin and his mice-speechless for a miraculously happy end-

ing on Christmas Day.

Age Level Pre-kindergarten thru 5th grade

And all those young at heart

Join Theatre IV in celebrating

Tailor of Gloucester Saturday, December 20, 2014

2:00 & 4:00

222 Mechanic Street (St. John Lutheran School)

Sponsored by the

Aurora Public Library District

Sunday, November 30th Downtown Aurora 3:00 5:00 PM

Bethlehem Experience Aurora Downtown Businesses Hosting Christmas Story Activities (begin at Christmas Tree for a shepherd guide)

A-Z Browse About Art Angels Aurora Floral All About Home Combs' Pizza Great Crescent Brewery Happy Tails Johnstons Gambles Nelson's TV Service Personally Yours Riverside Tile & Marble SE Indiana Art Guild Second Street Barber Shop Styles R Us Tequila's Mexican Restaurant Valley Storage & Lock Weber Sports

Miracle on Main Street Experience the Miracle

Sunday, November 30, 2014 1:00 5:00 Hillforest A Victorian Christmas Exhibit 213 Fifth Street

3:00 - 5:00 Bethlehem Experience Activities for children - Second and Main Sts.

(Sponsored by Aurora Churches Association)

5:00 8:00 Dickens Village & Toy Display Lions Club on Main Street

5:00 5:30 Musical Performance Casey Chapman & SDHS singers - Lions Club on Main Street

5:30 Christmas Message Rev.
