Concrete testing is regularly performed by anindependent NATA Accredited test Laboratory incompliance with AS 1012.1-1993

All Soakwell dimensions are the internal diameter ofthe narrowest point of the Soakwell.

GNC Quality Precast’s concrete products have allbeen Certified & Engineered to meet & exceed therelevant Australian Standards Bridge Loadings.

Septic Systems are all made to comply withAS 1546.1.2008 & are Health Department Approved.

Load Classifications

GNC Quality Precast’s complete range of metal Access Covers, RoadGrates and Frames are designed and tested in accordance with theAustralian Standard AS3996:2006. The following table provides an overviewof loading classes, its typical use and loading capacity. Appropriate class fora cover or grate depends upon the place of installation. Contact our officefor further information regarding selection of the appropriate class rating.

AS3996 : 2006 - Australian Standard Load Classifications & Water ServicesAssociation of Australia (WSAA) Specification WSA PS-290

The Australian Standard, AS3996:2006 is GNC’s nominated standard forprojects/applications within Australia. Type testing under AS3996:2006requires the Access Covers to meet the Ultimate Limit State Design Load(KN) without exceeding the Permanent Set and Deflection Limits. Refer toAS3996:2006 subclause 4.2.1. for further details.

WSAA Specification, WSA PS-290 Access Covers for Water Supply andSewerage to AS3996, details increased serviceability design and ultimatelimit state designs loads as that detailed in Table 3.1 of AS3996, refer tablebelow, for Classes B, D, E and F covers. Covers are designed and tested tothe higher WSAA specification.
