1 Dewri Mandir

Dedicated to Solha Bhuji Goddess, an avatarof Goddess Durga,Dewri Mandir temple is located  littleoutside the main city of Ranchi. Spread overnearly 2 acres, this oldtemple in Ranchi also houses an idol of LordShiva here. Legend has it that whoever hastried to alter the structure of the temple hashad to face the wrath of the gods and sufferconsequences.

2 Dassam Falls

Dassam Fall, also known as Dassam Ghagh,is another popular waterfall in the Ranchiregion. The falls are believed to be split into10 streams, and hence the name "dassam".The River Kanchi, a tributary of the largerSubarnarekha, falls from a height of 144 feetto create this cascading length of natural,untouched beauty.

You can hear the gushing echoes of thesefalls even from a distance, inviting you tofeast on the sheer beauty and resoundingpeace. Though it is usually the practice tosplash around the falls in Ranchi, DassamFalls are particularly swift and not suited forbathing.

3 Jagannath Temple

This 17th century temple was built by KingAni Nath Shahdeo. As the name suggests,the temple is built in the same architecturalstyle of the main Jagannath temple in Puri.And just like the 'Rath Yatra' in Puri, a hugeprocession and fair is held every year duringthe month of June-July. This is the time whenthe temple attracts hordes of devotees notjust from Ranchi, but from surroundingcities and villages.

The temple is built on a hill top and one hasto climb numerous stairs to reach the top.There is also a motorway built for theconvenience of travellers. The view from thetop of this temple is amazing.

4 Rock Garden

Spread over 52 acres, the lake is prettyhuge. The mirrored surface of the lakereflecting the hill and the surroundinggreenery is truly a wonderful sight. Boatingis a favourite recreational activity in the lake.Sunrise and sunsets are quite spectacularfrom this spot.
