They return with their hotly anticipated third show. Stars of Live at the Electric (BBC 3), Anna and Katy (Channel 4), Dead Boss (BBC 3) and Chickens (Sky 1).

A stand-up comedy show for people who like stand-up comedy shows. As seen on The Alternative Comedy Experience and Live at the Comedy Store. As heard on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4 and XFM.

‘Her style has a touch of The Mighty Boosh. Stunningly Lewd’ êêêê ThreeWeeks

‘This show has cult written all over it… a fine calling card for a formidable comedy actress’ Chortle

‘Vyse is marvellous, imperious and ambitious’ Times

This ‘charming, expert stand-up’ (Sunday Times) has been happily squandering his life in an orgy of stand-up and self-indulgence, but now the parenting bomb is ticking down; if he wants to be looked after when he’s old, he’d better get spawning. Stu’s journey from whistling at girls to cooing at babies is candid, smart and painfully funny, but who’d swap an orgy of self-indulgence to be a crumpled husk? Triple Chortle Award Nominee. ALEX EDELMAN RHYS JAMES21ST JUN 8PM £5 22ND JUN 8PM £5Alex Edelman is a New York-based comedian who has lived in Boston, LA and Jerusalem. He’s a recent college graduate and according to the Boston Globe, has ‘natural comic timing’ and contains qualities ‘wonderful to see in a young comedian’.

This is his first Edinburgh show. He’s been working on it for a long time, so it’ll be good. Even figuring out the simple, one-word title for the show was an agonising amount of stress. He’d like you to come see it. It covers a lot of ground, or at least a little bit of ground, intensely.

Pointy debutant Rhys James will tell some brilliant jokes, do some incredible poems, raise his eyebrows a few times and then leave. The whole thing will last around an hour, during which he won’t check Twitter once.

‘Sickeningly talented young stand-up. He’s a super-sharp writer, with a ton of smart, intricately-written jokes and stories where you’re never more than a few seconds away from another punchline’ Time Out

IAN SMITH29TH JUN 8PM £5After a successful debut, award-winning comedian Ian Smith (BBC2’s Popatron, BBC3’s Sweat the Small Stuff) returns with his new show. It’s about silliness and uncertainty … or is it? (It is.) It’ll be a lot of fun. KATE4TH JUL 7:30PM £5Iceland. 1940. The British are coming. With the number of British troops in Reykjavik outnumbering the number of men in all of Iceland, the Icelandic women certainly have something to focus on. Kate focuses on the experience of one family, with their wayward daughter Selma and helpful lodger Kate, and how the women choose different paths to survive.

‘Goodness, it’s the kind of work I come to the fringe to see’Lyn Gardner (Play for September)

DAN CLARK1ST JUL 8PM £5Dan Clark is back at the Fringe with a show about love, death and crushing loneliness. Sounds like a barrel of laughs right? With his signature style of upbeat, occasionally rude but ultimately heartwarming comedy, this show will leave you feeling good about life.

3RD JUL 7:30PM £5

A poor economy lengthens more than the hemline. In 1984: second-wave feminism, economic boom and mini skirts. 2014? Fourth-wave, underemployment, the mid-length. Women are getting married later, having children later, and hope to have it all figured out by 30. A comedic, poetic performance.

You’re so vain you probably think this show is about you. But it’s actually about Figs in Wigs - the lowbrow answer to avant-garde. Show Off delves deep into our shallow digital existence, examining how social media has bred a new form of narcissism.

On cloud 9 one moment then battling your inner critic the next? Tiff Stevenson (Buzzcocks, Next Week’s News) explores the possibility of optimism in a world where the Kardashians exist and worldwide gun control doesn’t.

Slick, warm, laugh-out-loud funny: Travesti takes the everyday lives of 21st century women and puts them into the mouths - and bodies - of six male actors. The guys gossip, dance and sing their way through women’s real experiences of sexual violence, being groped on public transport and unruly body hair.
