Purpose• Provide first experience of all-star competition• Emphasis on team building

How• 4 Provinces compete in Newfoundland annually.• Program will be cost recovery to each province.• Hosting province assumes all hosting costs.

When• Third week of July (annually)

Under 13 Regional Event

Purpose• Atlantic Championships (Should this be called – Atlantic Showcase?)• 20 male & 20 female players will be selected following the championships and be

designated as Under 15 Team Atlantic Core Team

How• 4 Provinces compete annually.• 2010 – Nova Scotia hosts• 2011 – PEI hosts• 2012 – NB hosts• Program will be cost recovery to each province.• Hosting province assumes all hosting costs.

When• Third week of July (annually)

Under 14 Regional Event

Purpose• Selected Under 15 core players will train in their home province with their

Provincial TDs on a curriculum provided by the NTCA director. (Built from Team Atlantic Philosophy based on Principles and LTPD Matrix)

• Team will assemble in Halifax three times over the winter for training and games utilizing travel budget of the NTCA. (Dates TBA)

• The Atlantic provincial championship in the last week of June will give an opportunity for the core group to be evaluated against all other players in the region to allow final team Atlantic U15 selection (18 players)

• There will be a 4 day training camp in Halifax prior to the National Championship at the end of July.

• The under 15 Team Atlantic will form the core group for the following years Team Atlantic (NTC) under 16 program.

Under 15 Team Atlantic

How

• 4 Provinces compete annually with PEI & NB alternating hosting• Program will be cost recovery to each province.• Hosting province assumes all hosting costs.• Team Atlantic costs will be cost shared by all provinces for the first 25% and the

rest of the costs will be prorated based on the number of players from each province on the team.

When

• End of June Atlantic Championships • End of July – National Championships

Under 15 Team Atlantic

Purpose• Identified Under 16 core players will train in their home province with their

Provincial TDs on a curriculum provided by the NTCA director. (Built from Team Atlantic Philosophy based on Principles and LTPD Matrix)

• Under 16 Team will assemble in Halifax three times over the winter for training and games utilizing travel budget of the NTCA. (Dates TBA)

• The Atlantic provincial championship in the first week of April will give an opportunity for the core group to be evaluated against all other players in the region to allow final team Atlantic U16 selection (18 players)

• There will be a 4 day camp for team Atlantic under 16 immediately prior to competition

• Team Atlantic to compete in National NTC tournament – long weekend in May
