Be Patient- It’s Trial & Error

• Perhaps not what you were hoping to hear, but there’s no single way to find success on Twitter. The more you go for it and post, the more you’ll learn what works and what doesn’t for your community

• Don’t just stick to reported best times or days- test it yourself. Everyone’s community will be unique. You just have to start and adjust to your specific community!

• Through analytics or your own tracking, you’ll be able to determine what content and media gets the most engagement

Engage More Than Broadcast

• Did you know there are more than 5 Million Tweets a day? We sometimes forget Twitter was made for connecting, not just throwing out info

• Engage your community by tweeting out live polls, hosting or participating in Twitter chats or group challenges, and jumping in on trending topics by searching relevant hashtags in your community. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box!

• Retweets, comments and mentions are also always great ways to highlight community members and get everyone involved

• Twitter makes contacting and conversing pretty seamless. Whether tweeting a convo or utilizing the Direct Message feature, get personal with your followers!

• Utilize hashtags and the Twitter search to find and engage your communities • Don’t be afraid to take advantage of scheduling applications. These can help you plan your
