Plant a Row for the Hungry! The Food Depot, Northern New Mexico's Food Bank, is experiencing a heightened need for fresh produce as transportation costs limit our ability to afford frequent shipments of fruits and vegetables. Now's the time to share the gifts from your garden with hungry people in our community. Participation is easy! Plant one extra row of vegetables or fruits and donate the proceeds directly to The Food Depot. The Food Depot will distribute the food from your garden to families, seniors and the working poor across Northern New Mexico. Individuals: Bring your surplus fruits, vegetables, and herbs to The Food Depot, 1222 Siler Road in Santa Fe during business hours (8:00-4:00) for distribution to those in need. Groups: Organize a multi-garden donation or grow a demonstration/education garden and donate the crops. Businesses: Your business or employer can contribute in-kind or financial donations to support our Plant a Row campaign. Make a financial contribution, provide free materials to Plant a Row gardeners, or distribute this flyer to help the campaign.
