Audience Profile: What type of magazine.

• Rock music it should show case articles on new and current rock music. Featuring artists, bands, album reviews, festival information and merchandise e.g. clothing brands, band merchandise.

• Rock music is usually associated with dangerous, dark colours such as red and black. These colours will feature in my magazine.

• Danger is a common theme in rock music as it is associated with the devil and rebellious behaviour therefore artists often come across as moody, angry or even appear to be shouting. Depending on the look of my magazine and the models I use, the artists that will feature in my magazine should follow these conventions.

• Rock is the main genre I am basing my magazine on however, I am going to aim my magazine at a more niche market in the sub genre of indie rock.

Audience profile• Male• Aged 16-35• ABC1 Employed audience with a good income; the magazine

will be high end so, will be more expensive. £2-£4.• It will be aimed mainly at a male audience however, it should

also be accessible to women as it should appeal to a niche audience with aspects of a wider audience.

• Indie Rock is often listened to by young males, festivals such as Reading and Latitude are where bands such as Bombay Bicycle Club and Haim perform at.
