synopsis - Reasons beyond insanity In this psychological thriller set in London 2015, Blair, Abigail and Jonathan are inseparable. After a tragic night out Abigail is violently murdered by a faceless and nameless killer. Heartbroken, Jonathan and Blair struggle to deal with their grief while their friendship is put to the test. Unsatisfied with the investigation, Blair takes it upon herself to find her best friend’s killer.

Target Audience- The target audience for psychological thrillers are a minimum age of 18

because of the level of violence and psychological issues which can be disturbing for younger viewers.

- Our target audience will be a minimum age of 16 as it’s aimed at young adults.

- Gender: both males and female

Trailer Analysis of a film with a similar target audience Shutter Island:

- Low lighting is used throughout to create an eerie and depressing mood.

- Voiceovers are constantly used to drive the plot of the movie and to help the viewer understand what is happening.

- Dramatic, slow music is played throughout to help create a dark mood.

- Short, quick scenes are used towards the end to show the main character getting more paranoid and perhaps losing grip of sanity.

Shot during winter, so a very cold and dark atmosphere. Shot in London, St Marylebone School, the underground

PROPS:

Mirrors and fake blood. Because it is a psychological thriller there aren’t a lot of props used because it’s more to do with the mind.

CHARACTERS:

Blair - Main character. Clothes will reflect her change in character, light clothing at the beginning but as the film continues, her clothes become darker.

Jonathan - Secondary character. Clothes will stay the same throughout the film.

Abigail - Secondary character. Clothes stay the same.
