NEW RESTRICTIONS: CENTRAL AVENUE ROOSEVELT STREET TO WASHINGTON STREET Northbound Central Avenue between Washington and Roosevelt streets will be restricted to one through lane, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., Saturday, June 16. Police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic control. Business and parking garage access will be maintained. The restriction is required to accommodate roadway surface treatments associated with a city of Phoenix, Street Transportation Department project DEER VALLEY ROAD 19TH AVENUE TO INTERSTATE 17 (CANYON FREEWAY) Alternating lane restrictions will apply to eastbound and westbound Deer Valley Road between 19th Avenue the I-17 Black Canyon Freeway, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. Police will be on site to assist with traffic control. Motorists are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period. HAPPY VALLEY ROAD 29TH AVENUE TO 43RD AVENUE Alternating lane restrictions will apply to eastbound and westbound Happy Valley Road between 29th and 43rd avenues, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 16 and Sunday, June 17. Police will be on site to assist with traffic control.

    Motorists are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period. MCDOWELL ROAD 35TH AVENUE TO 34TH AVENUE .

    Eastbound and westbound McDowell Road between 35th and 34th avenues will be restricted to a single lane, 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday June 19 through Monday, July 9. Pedestrian, bus stop and business access will be maintained. The restrictions are required for pedestrian bridge maintenance work.

    PINNACLE PEAK ROAD CAVE CREEK ROAD TO BLACK MOUNTAIN BOULEVARD

    Lane restrictions will apply to eastbound and westbound Pinnacle Peak Road between Creek Road and Black Mountain Boulevard, 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Saturday, June 16. Motorists are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period. WASHINGTON STREET FIRST STREET TO SECOND STREET Westbound Washington Street between First and Second streets is scheduled to be closed, 8 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Monday, June 18 through Friday, June 22. Police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic control. Business access will be maintained. The closure is required to accommodate new waterline construction associated with a city of Phoenix, Planning and Development Department project. WASHINGTON STREET FIRST STREET TO THIRD STREET Westbound Washington Street between First and Third streets will be restricted to one through, Tuesday, May 29 through Friday, June 22. Police officers will be onsite to assist with traffic control. Business access will be maintained. The restriction is required to accommodate new sewer line construction associated with a city of Phoenix, Planning and Development Department project. UNIVERSITY DRIVE 17TH STREET TO 18TH PLACE

    Eastbound and westbound University Drive between 16th and 24th streets will be closed, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday, June 15; and 5 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16. Local and business access will be maintained. Questions about this closure may be directed to the project hotline number at 602-235-2896. 43RD AVENUE MCDOWELL ROAD TO INTERSTATE 10 (REVISED) 43rd Avenue between McDowell Road and the Interstate 10 will be closed 9 p.m. Thursday, June 21 to 5 a.m. Monday June 25. Through southbound traffic and Interstate 10 eastbound and westbound access will be detoured at McDowell Road to 59th and 35th avenues. Northbound 43rd Avenue will remain open to through traffic and eastbound Interstate 10 access. Local and business access will be maintained. This restriction is required for construction related to the Loop 202 freeway construction. Connect 202 Partners is managing the project.     51ST AVENUE MCDOWELL ROAD TO INTERSTATE 10 FREEWAY 51st Avenue between McDowell Road and Van Buren Street will be closed, 10 p.m. Friday, June 15 through 5 a.m. Monday, June 18. Through 51st Avenue traffic and Interstate 10 Freeway access will be detoured at McDowell Road and Van Buren Street to 67th, 59th and 43rd avenues. Local and business access will be maintained. This restriction is required for construction related to the Loop 202 freeway construction. Connect 202 Partners is managing the project.     The following street will be closed from 6 a.m. through 6 p.m. Saturday, June 16, and Sunday, June 17:

    Monroe Street Third to Fifth streets Access to parking facilities will be maintained from Fifth to Monroe streets (Phoenix Convention Center). All streets will be open to normal traffic by 6 p.m. Sunday, June 17. REOPENING AFTER RESTRICTIONS: Central Avenue - Roosevelt Street to McDowell Road Central Avenue - Washington Street to Roosevelt Street First Avenue - Washington Street to Roosevelt Street 59th Avenue - McDowell Road to the I-10 Freeway CONTINUING RESTRICTIONS:

    Camelback Road 103rd Avenue to 105th Avenue partial restrictions in place through Aug. 2018. These restrictions will be in place to accommodate a sewer line rehabilitation work.

    Broadway Road Avenida Rio Salado Seventh Street to 51st Avenue, intermittent partial restrictions to accommodate a city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department capital improvement project.     First Street Washington Street to Jefferson Street, northbound closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

    Glendale Avenue 14th Street to 17th Street partial restrictions to accommodate a Southwest Gas main project. Restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through June 2018.

    Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) construction project: 59th Avenue Interstate 10 to Estrella Drive and Pecos Road - 48th Street to 59th Avenue, intermittent closures to accommodate the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 Freeway Project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in November 2019.     McDowell Road 36th Street to 44th Street partial restrictions to accommodate the installation of a new storm drain, the hotline number is 480-281-1506. Restrictions will remain in place through mid-June 2018.

    McKinley Street Central Avenue to First Avenue, full closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department.     Roosevelt Street 59th Avenue to 57th Avenue intermittent restrictions and overnight closures for construction related to the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 freeway project. Closure will remain in place through December 2018.     Second Street Washington Street to Jefferson Street, southbound closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

    Seventh Street Lincoln Street to Mohave Street partial restrictions to accommodate a new waterline installation by the city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department. Restrictions will remain in place through October 2018.

    Seventh Street Thunderbird Road to Peoria Avenue, partial restriction to accommodate the reconstruction of the North Mountain Tower Road. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed December 2018.

    Thomas Road 46th Street to 56th Street, partial restriction to accommodate a city of Phoenix Water Services Department project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in July. For additional information about this project, call the Project hotline at 480-281-1506.

    Thunderbird Road (westbound) Cave Creek Road to Seventh Street, partial restrictions to accommodate a private water line project. Restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through October 2018.

    Van Buren Street 40th Street to 44th Street, partial restrictions through June 2018. Restrictions are in place for the installation of a Southwest Gas utility work, the hotline number is 602-532-6100.

    Washington and Jefferson streets 1st Street to 2nd Street, partial restrictions to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

    Washington Street 1st Street to 3rd Streets partial restrictions are in place through Friday, June 22. Restrictions are in place to accommodate new sewer line construction work.

    Washington Street 48th Street to 51st Street, daytime partial restriction to accommodate a Valley Metro Light Rail station construction project.     32nd Street Broadway Road to Southern Avenue, partial restriction to accommodate a city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in July 2018.

    44th Street McDonald Drive to Camelback Road partial restrictions through June 2018. Restrictions are in place for Southwest Gas construction work. The hotline number is 623-825-3444.

    59th Avenue Roosevelt Street to I-10, partial restriction to accommodate the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 Freeway Project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to remain in place through 2019.     67th Avenue (northbound) Roosevelt Street to I-10 Freeway partial restriction on a 24-hour basis through May 2018.
