May 17, 2018 General Contact: Street Transportation Department Right of Way Management Office 602-262-6235 PLANNED MAJOR STREET RESTRICTIONS AND CLOSURES - UPDATED MAY 17 Motorists are advised to be aware of the following planned major roadway restrictions and closures. NEW RESTRICTIONS: ADAMS STREET – FIRST AVENUE TO THIRD AVENUE Adams Street between First and Third avenues is scheduled to be closed from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19. Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control. The closure is required to accommodate a city of Phoenix Film Office project. CENTRAL AVENUE – ROOSEVELT STREET TO McDOWELL ROAD Central Avenue will be closed in both directions between Roosevelt Street and McDowell Road from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Saturday, May 19. The closure is required to accommodate a roadway resurfacing project overseen by the city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department. CENTRAL AVENUE – WASHINGTON STREET TO JEFFERSON STREET Central Avenue between Washington and Jefferson streets is scheduled to be closed from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19. Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control. The closure is required to accommodate a city of Phoenix Film Office project.

GLENDALE AVENUE – 15TH AVENUE TO 19TH AVENUE Glendale Avenue between 15th and 19th avenues will remain restricted, on a 24-hour basis, through Monday, June 11. Pedestrian, bus stop and business access will be maintained. These restrictions are required for the installation of a gas main for Southwest Gas Corporation. SEVENTH STREET – DEER VALLEY ROAD TO HAPPY VALLEY ROAD Alternating lane restrictions will apply to Seventh Street between Deer Valley and Happy Valley roads from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 19 and Sunday, May 20. Lane restrictions will be in place to accommodate roadway work. Police officers will be on site to assist with traffic control. Motorists are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period. 43RD AVENUE - CAMELBACK ROAD AND US 60 43rd Avenue from Highland Avenue to Camelback Road is scheduled to be restricted from 2 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday May 19, 2018. Northbound 43rd Avenue will be closed from Highland Avenue to Camelback Road. A signed detour will be provided for northbound 43rd Avenue at Indian School Road to 35th and 51st avenues. Southbound 43rd Avenue will be restricted to a single through lane. All other lanes are expected to be maintained. Local, business and Fire Station access will be maintained up to the hard closure located north of Highland Avenue for northbound. Bus stop, pedestrian and business access will be maintained at all times. These restrictions will be in place to accommodate roadway paving and railway crossing improvements. Drivers are encouraged to allow for additional travel time during this period.

59TH AVENUE – MCDOWELL ROAD TO I-10 FREEWAY 59th Avenue between McDowell Road and the Interstate10 Freeway is scheduled to be closed to through traffic from 10 p.m. Friday May 18, 2018 to 5 a.m. Sunday May 20, 2018 Through southbound 59th Avenue traffic will be detoured at McDowell Road to 67th and 51st avenues. Northbound 59th Avenue will be closed to through traffic at the Interstate10 Freeway. Though traffic will be detoured at Van Buren Street to 51st and 67th avenues. Access to eastbound Interstate 10 Freeway will remain open for northbound 59th Avenue. A detour will be provided for southbound 59th Avenue for westbound access to Interstate 10. Local and business access will be maintained. This restriction is required for construction related to the Loop 202 freeway construction. Connect 202 Partners is managing the project. The following streets will be closed from 6 a.m. Monday, May 21, through 6 a.m. Monday, May 28:

Second Street – Monroe to Washington streets

Third Street – Monroe to Washington streets

Monroe Street – Second to Fifth streets Local and business access will be maintained. Pedestrian access will be restricted in Phoenix Convention Center area. During this event, Third Street through traffic will be redirected at Van Buren Street to First or Seventh streets. All streets will be open to normal traffic by 6 a.m. Monday, May 28. The walk will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25, at Fifth and Monroe streets and will end at Monroe and Second streets. The following streets will be closed 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Friday, May 25:

Fifth Street – Van Buren to Monroe streets

First Street – Polk to Monroe streets

Second Street – Polk to Van Buren streets

Third Street – Van Buren Monroe streets

Van Buren Street – Central Avenue to Fifth streets

Monroe Street – First to Fifth streets Local and business access will be maintained. Police officers will be on-site to assist with traffic control. All streets will open to normal traffic by 8:30 p.m. on Friday, May 25. REOPENING AFTER RESTRICTIONS: Thunderbird Road at 7th Street 43rd Avenue at Camelback Road 51st Avenue at Camelback Road CONTINUING RESTRICTIONS:

Central Avenue at Dunlap Avenue, partial lane restrictions will remain in place through May 2018. These lane restrictions are in place to accommodate the reconstruction of a bus stop.

Broadway Road “Avenida Rio Salado” – Seventh Street to 51st Avenue, intermittent partial restrictions to accommodate a city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department capital improvement project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed February 2019. For additional information about this project, visit avenidariosalado.com or call the project hotline at 623-825-3444.

First Street – Washington Street to Jefferson Street, northbound closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

Glendale Avenue – 14th Street to 17th Street partial restrictions to accommodate a Southwest Gas main project. Restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through May 2018.

Loop 202 (South Mountain Freeway) construction project: 59th Avenue – Interstate 10 to Estrella Drive and Pecos Road - 48th Street to 59th Avenue, intermittent closures to accommodate the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 Freeway Project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in November 2019. McDowell Road – 36th Street to 44th Street partial restrictions to accommodate the installation of a new storm drain, the hotline number is 480-281-1506. Restrictions will remain in place through mid-June 2018.

McKinley Street – Central Avenue to First Avenue, full closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December. For additional information about this project, call the project hotline at 480-498-6989 or email [email protected].

Roosevelt Street – 59th Avenue to 57th Avenue intermittent restrictions and overnight closures for construction related to the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 freeway project. Closure will remain in place through December 2018. Second Street – Washington Street to Jefferson Street, southbound closure to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

Seventh Street – Lincoln Street to Mohave Street partial restrictions to accommodate a new waterline installation by the city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department. Restrictions will remain in place through October 2018.

Seventh Street – Thunderbird Road to Peoria Avenue, partial restriction to accommodate the reconstruction of the North Mountain Tower Road. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed December 2018.

Thomas Road – 46th Street to 56th Street, partial restriction to accommodate a city of Phoenix Water Services Department project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in July. For additional information about this project, call the Project hotline at 480-281-1506.

Thunderbird Road (westbound) – Cave Creek Road to Seventh Street, partial restrictions to accommodate a private water line project. Restrictions are scheduled to remain in place through October 2018.

Van Buren Street – 40th Street to 44th Street, partial restrictions through Thursday, May 31. Restrictions are in place for the installation of a Southwest Gas utility work, the hotline number is 602-532-6100.

Washington and Jefferson streets – First to Second streets, partial restrictions to accommodate a private development project overseen by the city of Phoenix Planning and Development Department. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in December 2019.

Washington Street – 48th Street to 51st Street, daytime partial restriction to accommodate a Valley Metro Light Rail station construction project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in May 2019. For additional information about this project visit valleymetro.org/50thstreet or call the project hotline at 602-254-7245.

24th Street – Camelback Road to Campbell Avenue partial restrictions to accommodate a Southwest Gas utility project. Restrictions will remain in place through July 2018. For additional information about this project, call the project hotline at 602-532-6100.

32nd Street – Broadway Road to Southern Avenue, partial restriction to accommodate a city of Phoenix Street Transportation Department project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to be removed in July 2018.

44th Street – McDonald Drive to Camelback Road partial restrictions through June 2018. Restrictions are in place for Southwest Gas construction work. The hotline number is 623-825-3444.

59th Avenue – Roosevelt Street to the Interstate 10, partial restriction to accommodate the Arizona Department of Transportation Loop 202 Freeway Project. This closure/restriction is scheduled to remain in place through 2019. 67th Avenue (northbound) – Roosevelt Street to I-10 Freeway partial restriction on a 24-hour basis through May 2018.
