Tortuguero National Park protects a natural wildlife habitat including over twenty miles of coastline in which the turtles

species of birds, reptiles, and other mammals.

Sea Turtle Conservation Center

Located in Tortuguero National Park, this conservatory saves thousands of turtles and

indigenous birds a year.

Límon Carnival

Starting this weekend Limón kicks off its annual Carnival festivities, a 12-day Caribbean street party celebrating the kaleidoscope of cultures

on Costa Rica’s Caribbean coast.

Poás Volcano

Poás is one of Costa Rica´s most active volcanoes, and one of its most frequently visited and prominent ones. It contains a

green acid crater lake and during some of its frequent eruptions, water from the lake is ejected like a geyser.

Arenal Volcano

The Arenal Volcano is huge and looms over the green hillsides that surround its base. Although currently in a resting phase, Arenal remained the country’s most active volcano for the past

43 years.

Monte Verde

Monteverde is a world above the coastal towns that dot the country's famous shoreline. It is a place of cloud forests and coffee plantations,

monkeys, mist, and friendly locals.
