Placerita Canyon Nature CenterIn 2009 The Acorn Group developed the interpretive master plan for Placerita Canyon’s trails, courtyard, and recently renovated LEED-certified nature center building. Steeped in legends of gold, oil, and Hollywood the rich human history of Placerita Canyon is celebrated through oral history recordings, movie clips, and other media clustered in the gallery. The new exhibits also celebrate the canyon’s rich, but fragile biological diversity through stunning dioramas, interpretive panels, and interactive displays.

Throughout the planning and design process, The Acorn Group worked closely with the County of Los Angeles, the Placerita Canyon Nature Center Associates, and General Graphics & Exhibits.
