This year DFS witnessed an excellent placement process, with all students getting lucrative offers across diverse sectors. The overall response to the recruitment was better than the last recruitment season with many new organizations accepting to visit our campus for the final placement process along with the regular recruiters. Financial Roles like Investment Banking, Equity Research, Corporate Banking, Credit Analyst and Corporate Finance were offered by companies. The recruiters, especially banking institutions and credit rating agencies made the best of the opportunity as the future of financial activities seems extensive. As we know that the government is highly focused on promoting the infrastructural development, thus the credit institutions seemed busy recruiting as well. The department also hosted a considerable number of new recruiters for the summer placements as well during this season. Corporate Finance and Equity Research were the major offers for summers. The department continues to maintain its strong relationship with the corporates. Organizations from different sectors expressed their interest in recruitment process. The department also inculcated corporate exposure into its pedagogy. We had various guest lectures, workshops, industry meets and leadership talks by senior professionals. This was done to get the essence of the corporate world, where students can connect to the senior professionals from the industry as a part of the corporate relationship programme.
