Industry connect and corporate exposure at KSOM is intense. In addition to the three major national conclaves in theareas of Marketing, Finance and HR, KSOM also organizesseveral events in a year, including seminar talks,workshops, guest lectures and industry visits. With at least one such event per week, students get to interact with top industry luminaries from Indian and multinational companies.

Seminars To foster multi-dimensional knowledge acquisition that goes beyond classroom learning, KSOM organizes regular seminars under three broad themes:

While industry professionals come and interact with students for Corporate seminar, the Knowledge seminar is delivered by achievers from several walks of life; from authors to sportspersons, entrepreneurs to social workers.

Guest Lectures At KSOM, a certain minimum number of classes for each subject have to be taken by an expert from the industry.

This immensely helps the students to get a direct input on how the industry operates and exposes them to the practical challenges faced by managers.

Conclaves and Convention The school organizes three National Level Conclaves in the areas of Marketing, Finance and HR comprising of keynote speeches and workshops by CEOs/CFOs and VPs of reputed national and global corporations.

The National Management Convention is a research paper presentation event, which exposes practitioners, students and researchers to the need and value of original research.

Summer InternshipAt the end of first year, students undergo the mandatory 2-month summer internship program in a reputed corporate house where they work on a live project, under the active guidance of two mentors: Corporate and Faculty.

The institute tries to ensure that most projects are meaningful and have a tangible value for the organization. The key features of the internship program are:

The institution also has the requisite infrastructure for Skype Calling for remote interviews.

The institute provides all necessary facilities including multimedia-enabled classrooms, test rooms, computer centre and interview rooms for all recruiters visiting the campus.

Visiting BhubaneswarBhubaneswar being a capital city is well connected to all major metros through airlines such as Indigo, Air India and Vistara.

The world-famous Puri Jagannath Temple, the UNESCO World Heritage Centre - Konark Sun Temple and the Puri sea beach are just about an hour’s drive from Bhubaneswar.

Recruitment Process

Recruitment season at KSOM begins in September and goes on till early next year.

Recruiters typically fix up a time for campus visit and share Eligibility Criteria, Job Description and Salary details with KSOM based on which students apply to the organization. Some recruiters visit campus for a pre-placement talk.

The organization is then sent the list and CVs of applicants for shortlisting. The company visits the campus for conducting the process, which includes Written Test, GD and Personal Interview.
