KEEP IT CLEAN

Your timber outdoor furniture will age more gracefully when properly maintained. To thoroughly clean your furniture, we recommend using soapy water and a small amount of laundry detergent or dish washing liquid. Taking a soft bristle brush, wet and lightly scrub the entire piece. Do not allow the solution to dry on the furniture. After cleaning, thoroughly rinse your furniture with fresh water.

This process will remove surface dirt and pollution, kill mildew (known to grow on almost anything), remove or lighten most black mildew spots, and allow the silver-graypatina to develop more evenly. This will also remove most raised wood grain fibres, returning your furniture to a feel similar to its original smoothness.

STAIN IT

Over time you may need to re-stain your furniture. We’ve got a great selection of stains in-store, so pop in and see us and get some while you’re there.

A NEW FAMILY RECIPE: RED, BLACK AND BLUE BURGER

Cajun or blackening spices115 g of blue cheese, crumbled2 tbsp softened butter2 cups pinot noir680 g premium ground beef

½ cup fresh bread crumbs1 eggSea salt4 brioche bunsCaramelized onionsLettuce

Tomatoes, thickly slicedDijon mustardBacon Avacado, sliced

INSTRUCTIONS

Blend the butter and blue cheese together with a fork. Lay a piece of plastic wrap over a dinner plate. Place four spoonfuls of the blue cheese onto the plate, loosely cover then smash into 7–9cm discs. Refrigerate for at least 15 minutes – they need to be cold and firm.

In a small saucepan over high heat, reduce the wine down to ½ cup. Remove from heat and cool.

In a medium mixing bowl, thoroughly mix the wine reduction, ground beef, breadcrumbs, and egg. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape into round patties. Place disc blue cheese butter onto four of the patties and top each with another patty. Pinch the edges together firmly and re-shape into a round patty of even thickness. Season with salt and generously sprinkle/rub the cajun or blackening spices both sides of the burgers. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until ready to cook.

Prepare your grill for direct cooking over high heat. Brush and oil the grate before you begin cooking. Place the burgers on the preheated grill and cook for about 5 minutes per side. Place the buns cut side down on the grill for 1 minute or so until toasted.

Place burgers on that buttery brioche bun and top with caramelized onions, thick sliced bacon, slices of ripe avocados, lettuce and tomatoes.
