Promotion Sunday is August 3. Student prayer cards will be available for the new school year on August 10.

Our Camp Fit Kid summer program continues through August! We begin every Wednesday evening at 6:15 in the choir room. The program ends at 7:15 in the Route 252 room. We spend a lot of time outside, so kids need to wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle.

Backpack Buddy items for August: Protein Bars, Fruit/Cereal Bars.

Prayer Shawl Group meets Monday, August 11, at 6:00PM in the Parlor.

Plan to enjoy the day with Missions in mind on Saturday, August 9, at Fairhaven Ministries in Roan Mountain from 9AM-2PM for an Associa-tional WMU Celebration! Lunch will be provided. Guest speakers will be Carolyn Outland and Ann Davenport. Call Vickie Ford by August 4 if you plan to attend. Meet at 8:15AM if you’d like to carpool.

Open Heart WOM will meet Thursday, August 21. We will leave the church at 9:45AM to go to Leunah Tipton’s. Mission Seekers at 6:30.

Nursing Home Visitation will be Tuesday, August 19, at Pine Ridge. Meet in the church parking lot at 5:30.

All WMU ladies are invited to attend an Equipping Missions Conference in Knoxville on August 23. Contact Charlotte Hunt if interested.

A World Crafts tea/party sale is scheduled for Sunday, September 7. Keep this date on your calendar as it is a wonderful opportunity to pur-chase Christmas gifts.
