DESCRIPTION
The Pittsburgh Galleries Project is a project-based learning, career connection program where high school students learn how to curate professional exhibits while learning about jobs in the arts. The project was supported by a Hive Connected Learning Grant through the Sprout Fund.TRANSCRIPT

Pittsburgh Galleries Project
The Galleries Project matched high school students with
museum experts in learning how to curate an exhibit. The final
results were curated exhibits on a high school campus matching
the medium and style of gallery/museum partners.
Purpose
Galleries Partners
1. To implement a project-based learning activity where students exercise 21st century skills.
2. To further college and career development in the area of the arts.
3. To transform the physical environment of a school to be creative and less institutional.
