instructionsinthismanual.PitBullisuserfriendlyandwheninstalledcorrectlyisnotonlyreliablebutconvenienttothosewhouseit.YourPitBullisremovableandveryeasytoclean.Thepolyesterfiberdoesnotabsorbwater,greaseoroil.PitBullisknotfreeandmeetsorexceedsOSHAandANSIsafetystandards.

allsafetyprecautionsthatneedtobeengaged.

Step1:Removeexistingpitcoverandexistingpitcovertracks,ifnecessary.
Step2:FORUSEWITHLOCKINGMECHANISMONLY!Considerproperlocationforlocking mechanism.
Measuretheinsideclearanceofthetireguides.Thetireguidesmustbeparallel within+/-¼”.Ifclearanceisdifferenceisgreaterthan+/-¼”,shimbetweenguidesandsliding channeltomaintainclearancetolerance.Weldshimstotireguidesandslidingchannel. Whenclearancedifferenceiswithin¼”,weld
slidingchannelwithslotstoinsideoftireguidesat properheight,seediagram1.Remembertoallowdrainpanmovement.
Step3:Weldingtobe1”longand12”oncenteronbothtopandbottomofrailingwithweldsinan
alternateposition,seeDiagram2.CAUTION!DonotWELDthefaceofthechannel.
Afterwelding,UseaHardenedPrybartospreadthefaceofthechannelopenslightlyallthewaydown.
CAUTION!DonotuseHeavyforcetospreadopen.
Step4:CutActiveandPassiverods(A/PRods)tocorrectlength.TheActive/PassiveRodistobecutdown4”shortofthewidthofthetrack.(Example:ifthewidthis40”,theActive/PassiveRodshouldbe36”).BothActiveandPassiveRodsareidentical.Activeisthefrontbarandpassiveistherearbar.Regardlessofwhichone
youareinstalling,thestepsarethesame.WeldingisnotrecommendedastheAdaptersareself-adjustingandwillnotcomelosefromrodsifproperlyinstalled.
Step5:InstallyourPitBullSafetySystem.FeedT-boltsinsideslidingchanneltopropertension.(Proper
tension=¼”–½”sagintheweb).ToadjusttensionofyourPitBull,tightenorloosennyloninsertlocknutsonT-boltsequallyonbothsides.Afterpropertensionhasbeencompleted,cutanyexcessT-BoltwithBoltCutterOnly
–DONOTusetorchorgrinder.
Step6:IfyouareinstallingaPitViperOverlay,pleasereadtheinstructionsonpage11beforeproceeding.InstallPassivetensionbaronyourPitBullSafetySystembywrappingtheendofthewebaroundthebarandsearingholesthroughwebbing.Searholesfor¼”X1stainlessflangeheadbolts(holegoesthroughcenterof
eachloop).
InstallPassivetensionrodwith¼”X1½”stainlessflangeheadbolt.Insertboltsintoholes.Completethisstepby
placing¼”X½”flangeheadnuttobolt.SecurePassivetensionbartoslidingchannelbyinsertingthe¼”X1½”stainlessboltthroughhole1(Thepassivetensionbargoesbehindthesebolts).IFUSINGTHELOCKING
MECHANISM,youcanadjustthehookforthepropertensiondesired,seeDiagram6.
PLEASENOTE:RemovetheT-boltswheretheactive/passiverodsaretobelocatedanddiscard.
OPTION#1:LockingMechanism
Step7:Determinelengthofpit.Attheactiveendoryourpitviper,cutthewebwitharazorknifetocorrect
length.Searholes¼”X1”stainlessflangeheadbolt(holegoesthroughcenterofeachloop).InstallactivetensionrodonyouPitVipercoverbywrappingtheendofthewebaroundthebarandsearingholesthroughthewebbing(thisprocessisthesameasthepassivetensionrod).Installactivetensionrodwith¼”X1’stainless
flangeheadbolts.Completethisstepbyplacingthe¼”flangeheadnuttobolt.
Step8:ONLYIFUSINGTHELOCKINGMECHANISM.Tackweldslockingmechanismonthecenterlineofthepit(underthediamondplate,ifrequired).Usehookoflockingmechanismtoadjustthetensionontheweb,lockandunlockcovertochecktension.Whentensioniscorrect,completetheweldingofthelockingmechanism.

Step8:Greaseinsideofslidingchannelusingstandardlubrication.Dofinaladjustmentsonwebbingor
securelengthandwidthtension.Paint,touch-up,withblackflatspraypaint–BESUREchannelhasbeencompletelypaintedafterwelding.

Step9:InstructionsforinstallingtheNO-STEPLabels.
No-StepLabelsaretypicallyinstalledonthewebbingafterinstallationiscomplete.Withthecoverinaclosedposition,locatetheareawhereyouwantyourNo-StepLabels.NormallytheNo-Steplabelsarecenteredonthewebbingoneachend.PlacementofNo-StepLabelsiscompletelyuponowners’discretion.
Forappearancepurposes,usetwo(2)labelsperpitcover.Alignalllabelsonpitpriortosecuringthem,sothey
willcorrespondwitheachother.ToattachNo-Steplabel,youwillusethemagneticpinsandbackingsincluded.OnceyouhavedecidedonthedesiredlocationofyourNo-Steplabels,usethemagneticpinstosecurethem.
WARNING!Onceyouhavesecuredthemagneticpinsandbackingyouwillnotbeabletoremovethelabel,that’swhyplacementiscrucial.IfforsomereasonyoumadeanerrorwhileattachingyourNo-Step
Labels,pleasecallustopurchasethemagneticremover.
DifferentInstallationScenarios
1.FLOORGRADEMOUNT:Passiveendsarenotabletopassunderfloor(Example,I-Beamorotherstructuralproblems).Passiveendwillbe1.5”offtheendofthepitopeningtoallowforanyfuturetensionadjustments.
2.SUB-FLOORMOUNT:Passiveendhiddenunderflooring.
3.Foranylocationsthathavefour(4)bays,thecenterplate(thatthelockingmechanismattachesto)mustbe
securedinsuchafashiontopreventhorizontalmovementandhavetheabilitytoberemoved,ifnecessary.
CareandMaintenance
ItisnotnecessarytoremoveyourPitBulltocleanifyougenerallywashyourpitareafromtoptobottom.
However,inordertogetthemaximumlifefromyouPitBullSafetyCover,werecommendyoufollowthecareandmaintenanceinstructionsbelow
ProfessionalNettingConcepts,LLC.suggestyouuseamildbleachfreesoap,suchasDawnDishwashingLiquidorWooliteLaundryDetergentandhotwater.Boththeseproductsareamilddetergentthatwillnotharmyour
cover.Withamediumstiffbrush,applythesoapandwateroverthePitBullandscrub.Alwaysrinsethoroughly.
Cornstarchorbabytalccanbeusedtoremovestubborngreasestains.Brushoffloosedirt,coverthestainwithcornstarchorbabytalc,andleaveonthegreasespotovernight,thenbrushthetalcorcornstarchoff.Most,ifnotall,ofthestainshoulddisappear.However,ifnecessaryrepeattheprocess.
ForaDEEPCLEANyoucanremoveyourPitBullcoverfromthechannelandtakeittoyournearestcarwash.Use
thefoamingbrushorhighpowerwashertocleanyourPitBullSafetycover.YoumayusethesameprocesstocleanyourNo-Steplabels.
NEVERUSEstrongcleaners,petroleumbasedproductsorbleaches(thisincludesOxiclean).Avoidusinganyharshchemicalorindustrialstrengthcleaners.DONOTuseanycleaningagentthatisasolventbasedor
solvent-containingcleanser,thesearetypicallycalleddegreasers.Theuseofdegreasersovertimewillfadeandlessenthestrengthofthewebbingmaterial.DONOTuseanykindofhydrocarbonsolvent,itwasfoundtoweakenthewebbingconsiderably.
Alwayskeepchannelcleanofdebris.UselightgreaseoninsideofchannelandT-Boltsasneeded.IfyourPitBullisusedfrequently,itisagoodideatoinspecteachworkingpartevery30daystoensurethesafetyofthecover.RegularmaintenancewillincreasethelongevityofyourPitBullSafetyCover.
VIPEROVERLAYONLY!HowtoinstallyourPitBull“Viper”Overlay
YourPitViperOverlaywillcomepartiallyattachedtoyourPitBullSafetyCover.Bothendswillneedtobecompletedtofinishinstallation.
DONOTWRAPTHEVIPEROVERLAYAROUNDTHEACTIVE/PASSIVERODS.ThePitBullSafetyCoveristheonlypartwrappedaroundtherods,pleasereadStep6ofthismanual.
OnceyourPitBullCoverisattachedtotheactive/passiverodsandsecuredinplace,ifneeded,markandcuteachendoftheoverlayonthelastrunbeforethebarbeginstowrap.
Usethemagneticpins/backingsprovidedtoaffixtherestoftheoverlaytothePitBullCover.FollowthesamecareandmaintenanceprovidedforthePitBullSafetyCovertocleanandmaintainyourViperOverly.

PARTS–Newpartsinexchangeforthedefectivepartsforone(1)yearafteroriginalpurchase(excludingshippingand handling charges). Thiswarranty only covers failures due to defects inmaterial or hardwarewhich occur
duringnormaluse.Itdoesnotcoverfailuresduetodamageinshipment,orfailureswhicharecausedbyproductsnotsuppliedbyProfessionalNettingConcepts,L.L.C.or failureswhichresult fromanaccident,vehicular traffic,misuse, abuse, neglect, mishandling, misapplication, alteration, faulty installation (by others not directly
employedbyProfessionalNettingConcepts,L.L.C.,andanymodification.Warrantydoesnotcoverdamagecausebyfire,floods,hurricanes,cyclones,tornadoes,earthquakesoranyotherextraordinaryorunusualevent. InnoeventshallProfessionalNettingConcepts,L.L.C.be liable foranyconsequentialdamagesor fordamagestothe
buildingoritscontentsorinjurytoitsoccupants.
INSTALLATION – Professional Netting Concepts, L.L.C. will only repairmanufacture installations and/or replaceyourcoverfreeofchargeintheU.S.A.intheeventofadefectinworkmanshipormaterial.Installationwarrantiesareonlygivenonmanufactureinstallations.ManufactureInstallationsincludeaone(1)yearwarrantyfromthe
date of installation. Any person, not directly employed by Professional Netting Concepts, L.L.C. performinginstallationsofPitBullSafetyCoverswillnotbecoveredbythewarranty.
Thiswarranty isextendedonlytotheoriginalpurchaser. Aproofofpurchasewillberequiredbeforewarrantyperformanceisrendered.
Thewarranty shall be void if ProfessionalNetting Concepts, L.L.C. fails to receive full payment. Thiswarranty
givesyouspecificlegalrightsandyoumayalsohaverightswhichvaryfromstatetostate.
