2 Shell Beach Road and Encanto courts. Two

basketball and two tennis courts located on Shell Beach Rd. at Encanto St. Access the courts from the Spyglass exit, turn north onto Shell Beach Rd.

3 Palisades Park. This 6-acre neighborhood park includes a basketball court, children’s

playground, horseshoe courts, picnic tables and benches, bbq, and grassy recreation areas. Tennis courts are located across Shell Beach Rd. Highway access from Avila Beach and Spyglass exits: turn down Hermosa Street off of Shell Beach Rd.

4 Beachcomber Drive Beach Access Stairs. Concrete, steel and wood stairway from the bluff top to the beach at the

end of Beachcomber Dr. Tide pool access. Highway access from Avila Beach and Spyglass exits: turn down Beachcomber Dr. off of Shell Beach Rd.

5 South Palisades Parks. A spectacular linear coastal park spanning approximately one mile with benches,

picnic tables and a grassy recreational area. Highway access from Avila Beach and Spyglass exits to Shell Beach Rd. Turn down Searidge Ct., Beachcomber Dr., Silver Shoals Dr. or Ebb Tide Wy. to various portions of this scenic ocean-viewing park.

6 Ebb Tide Park. Secluded park located at the end of Ebb Tide Ct. Beautiful grassy area with short cement pathway.

Amazing views of the ocean.

7 Cliff’s Hotel Beach Access . 2757 Shell Beach Rd.; beach access available. 1/2 mile bluff top trail

adjoining the Dolphin Bay hotel at 2727 Shell Beach Rd. Highway access from Spyglass exit off Highway 101 from the north, Mattie road from the south.

8 Spyglass Inn Ocean viewing Access. A public bluff top-walking path adjacent to the hotel and the Dolphin Bay Trail.

Highway access: Spyglass exit, to 2705 Shell Beach Rd.

9Spyglass Park. 4 1/2 acres park features a playground, grassy recreation area, rest room (in 2009), picnic tables, benches,

bbq and picnic areas, and bicycle parking. Highway access from Spyglass exit, take Shell Beach Rd., turn onto Spyglass Dr. Follow Spyglass Dr. for a scenic view of the ocean and access on a challenging trail to an 1-1/2 mile sandy beach and tide pools.

10 Memory Park/Point Vista. 1/2-acre bluff-top park with picnic tables, a

bbq and benches offers beautiful ocean viewing.

11 S h e l l Beach school

Play Equipment. 4-acre school ball fields and playground overlooking the ocean with play equipment available for use after school hours. Highway access from Spyglass exit at Terrace and Shell Beach Road.

12Vista del Mar Stairs. Shell Beach Rd. to Vista del Mar Ave. to a sandy beach and tide pools.

13 Eldwayen Ocean Park. A 1-1/2 mile long ocean front park with grassy recreation, picnic areas, and beach

access. Highway access from Spyglass exit, turn south down Shell Beach Road and turn to the west at Vista Del Mar Ave.

14 Pier Ave Stairs. Take Shell Beach Rd. to Pier Ave. Turn toward the ocean. Stairs provide beach access to a large tide

pool area.

15 Margo Dodd Park, Gazebo and Beach Stairway. Ocean front bluff top park: breathtaking ocean viewing, gazebo,

grassy recreation area and bicycle parking. Excellent spot for photographs of marine and bird life on a rugged coastal terrain. Bring your binoculars! Highway access from Price St. south and Mattie Rd. north, take Shell Beach Rd. to Ocean Blvd. at Leeward, Pier, Palisade, and Seaview or Cliff. Park is located at the ends of each street. Area available for reservation.

16Dinosaur Caves Park. This 11-acre ocean front park is

for walkers, photo-graphers, dog lovers, joggers and fishing enthusiasts. See dolphins, whales, seals, sea lions, sea otters and multiple sea bird species. Trails, amphitheater, rest room, open grassy areas, play area, scenic ocean overlooks, benches and tables are available. Home to events throughout the year. Highway access from Price St. exit south and Mattie Rd. exit north. Located at the corner of Cliff St. and Shell Beach

Rd. Areas in the park are available for

reservation.

17 Shelter Cove Hotel Open Space and Beach Access.

2651 Price Street. A three and a half-acre open space. Gazebo outlook, parking, bluff top walkway and public stairway access. Highway access: Price St. exit south and Shell Beach Rd. north.

18 Shore Cliff Hotel open space. 2555 Price Street. Walkway with beautiful ocean views. Highway

access: Price St. exit south and Shell Beach Rd. north.

19 Cottage Inn, Pismo Lighthouse Suites, Seacrest Hotel bluff top trail and beach access. 2241, 2351, 2411 Price. Linear

bluff top trail and beach access from Seacrest Hotel. Handicapped lift on trail is available. Highway access: Price St. exit south and Mattie Rd. north.

20 Wilmar Stairs. Beach access stairway. Highway access: Price St. exit south and Wadsworth Ave. north. Take

Price St. to Wilmar Ave.Ave.

21 Boosinger Park. Children’s

play equipment, drinking fountain, picnic tables,bbqs and benches.Spectacular views of the city and ocean from the park. Highway access: Highway 101 Price exit south and Wadsworth exit north; turn to the east up the hill on Wadsworth Ave.

22 Wadsworth and Bello Courts. Two

tennis and two basketball courts. Highway access: Wadsworth Street exit south and Price Street north.

23 Wadsworth Ave Stairs. Beach access stairway. Highway access: Wadsworth Street exit south and Price Street north;

turn towards the ocean on Wadsworth Ave. et north

24 Main Street Stairs. Beach access stairway. Highway access: Highway 101 Price exit south and Wadsworth exit

north; take Dolliver to Main St. sworth

on Cypress.

25 Pismo State Beach, Pismo Beach Pier, beach volleyball courts, the Promenade and Pismo Creek Trail. Beach volleyball

courts are at the end of Wadsworth near the Pismo Beach Pier. The promenade is adjacent to the beach from the Pier to the end of Addie Street. There are public rest rooms, sand showers, children’s play equipment, benches, and drinking fountains. Enjoy surfing, fishing, swimming and other ocean recreation opportunities. The parking lots are adjacent to the Pier at the end of Pomeroy and at the end of Addie Street. The stairs on Main Street lead to beach and volleyball courts. Pismo Creek has a variety of bird life viewed from Addie Street on the Pismo Creek trail where the creek merges into the Pacific Ocean. Price Street and Wadsworth exits north and Highway 1 (Dolliver St) south, a 60 acre regional beach and 1 1/2 linear mile pier can be accessed by taking Price Street to Dolliver and taking any downtown street to the ocean.

26 Mary Herrington Park. One acre park by Pismo Creek on the west side of Dolliver with a rest room, grassy

recreation area, picnic tables/benches, individual and public bbq facilities, drinking fountain, and bike parking. Highway access Hinds Ave exit south and Wadsworth exit north

to Dolliver.

27 Ira Lease Park. A one acre park on Pismo Creek on the east side of Dolliver street with a trail along the creek,

grassy recreation area, picnic tables and benches, individual and public bbq facilities, a drinking fountain, and bicycle parking. Highway access: Hinds avenue exit south and Wadsworth 27 exit north over Price Street to Dolliver.

28 Pismo Beach Monarch Butterfly Grove/ Promenade 3 to Grover Beach. Located on Dolliver Street/Highway 1

the area provides improved trail access to Pismo State Beach and through the butterfly grove. Seating areas are available. Thousands of butterflies can be seen from November through early March. Highway access: Hinds avenue exit south and Wadsworth exit north over Price Street to Dolliver. Contact State Parks at 805-773-7170 for more information.

29 30 Pismo Marsh and Overlook. The Marsh consists of three lakes and a multitude of plant and bird life.

Viewing access from the adjacent one acre overlook. Contact State Parks at 805-773-7170 for more information. Highway access from 4th street exits north and south, located on Fourth Street just west of the 4th street and Highway 101 interchange.

31 Chumash Park. 38-acre park, children’s play equipment, walking trail, picnic area and hard court for basketball

play. Highway access: 101 North at 4th St., cross to James Way with a right on Ventana, the park is to the left. Coming from the south, 4th street exit left into Five Cities Drive, left again on 4th street, left on James Way and right on Ventana.

32 Highland Park. This 7-acre park includes picnic areas, children’s play equipment and trail access. Highway access: 4th

street exits north and south take James Way to Highland and turn to the east, following the street to the park.

33 Pismo Beach Sports Complex. 5.5-acre site, three ball fields and picnic areas. Highway access from Hinds Ave. exit

south and Wadsworth exit north over Price St. to Dolliver. Take South Dolliver St. to Frady Lane, turn east and go under the Highway to reach the ball fields.

34 Price Historic Park. Four acre park “in the country” with hiking trails, Class 1 bike trails and plenty of room for a

picnic lunch. The gated Price Anniversary and Meherin houses are located behind the fenced area and can be toured by appointment. Contact the City at 805-773-4658 for a docent. From101 S: 4th St. exit, south to Highland, take a left on Rancho Pismo to the Park. From 101 N: Five Cities Dr. exit, turn left on Five Cities Dr., left on 4th St., left onto James Wy., right on Highland, left on Rancho Pismo. For bicycle/pedestrian access follow directions to the ball fields (#33 above) and continue east along Frady Lane.
