QUILT ASSEMBLYRefer to quilt photo for placement of fabrics.

Pish Posh BlockThese instructions are to make 1 block. Refer to quilt photo for fabric placement as each block is a different combination of fabrics. Draw a line from corner to corner on the wrong side of a

linen shade 4” square. Place the line shade 4” square on top of an assorted print 4” square. Sew ¼” on each side of the line. Cut on the line to make 2 Half Square Triangles. Press. Repeat to make 4 Half Square Triangles. Square up the Half Square Triangles to 3½”.

Sew a linen shade 2” x 3½” rectangle to an assorted print 2” x 3½” rectangle to create Unit A. Press. Repeat to make 4 Unit A’s.

Referring to quilt photo for placement of fabrics, sew together 4 Half Square Triangles, 4 Unit A’s, and 1 assorted print or linen shade 3½” square to create the Pish Posh Block. Repeat to make 20 Pish Posh Blocks.

Posts and SashingRefer to the quilt photo for post placement. Sew a 2½” orange houndstooth square to a 2½” x 9½” linen shade rectangle. Repeat to make a row with 5 posts and 4 sashing rectangles. Repeat to make 6 rows labeled A.

Sashing and Pish Posh BlockRefer to the quilt photo for block placement. Sew a 2½” x 9½” linen shade rectangle to a Pish Posh Block. Repeat to make a row with 5 sashing rectangles and 4 Pish Posh Blocks. Repeat to make 5 rows labeled B.

Quilt Center AssemblyRefer to the quilt photo for row placement. Lay out rows A and B. Sew rows together to complete the center of the quilt.

BordersSeam allowances vary so measure through the center of the quilt before cutting border pieces. Sew side borders first.

Border 1Side borders should be 57½”. Top and bottom borders should be 50½”.

Border 2Side borders should be 61½”. Top and bottom borders should be 62½”.

Border 3Side borders should be 73½”. Top and bottom borders should be 68½”.

Finish quilt by layering the quilt top, batting, and back. Bind with your favorite Riley Blake fabric from the Avignon Collection. Have fun with your colors and enjoy the journey of making your quilt.
