Some people was very rich, Some people was very poor.

This is the sea between Britain and Ireland.

What’s that in the map?

It’s the famous pirate ship, the Jolly Roger.

The Jolly Roger is a very old ship and a very big ship. At the moment there are three pirates and a captain in the Jolly Roger. The ship has got a very big kitchen, a living room and three bedrooms with twenty-one beds in each bedroom.

This Is the captain’s cabin. Do you like it? The sofa comes from France, the desk comes from Portugal, the lamp comes from Britain and the cupboard comes from Ireland. The bed comes from Italy.

The captain loves his bed!!!

This is the kitchen. The pirates eat a lot! On Monday they eat spaghetti and chips. On Tuesday they eat hamburgers and chips. On Wednesday they eat pizzas and chips. On Thursday they eat sandwiches and chips. On Friday they eat fish and chips. On Saturday and Sunday they eat cakes and biscuits and bars of chocolate, and… chips, of course.

These pirates are One Eye, One Arm and One leg. One Eye has got a parrot.

One Eye likes money. He counts his money all day long.

One Leg is very greedy. He likes food. He eats a lot. He can eat 40 pizzas for lunch!

One Arm is very lazy. He likes sleeping. He sleeps in the morning, he sleeps in the afternoon and he sleeps in the evening. He always sleeps.

One Leg sees a navy ship.

It’s the Maiden Queen!

The pirates go on board the Maiden Queen.

They fight against the English men in the navy ship.

One Leg finds a map in the navy ship.

It’s a treasure map!

This is Ireland. This is Piratetown. One Leg, One Eye and One Arm and the other pirates of the Jolly Roger live here with their families. In Piratetown there are seventy-two houses, one school, two churches and three shops. Pirate Brendan’s shop has got food: spaghetti, biscuits, fish and pizzas. It’s One Leg’s favourite shop! Pirate Patrick’s shop has got furniture: chairs, sofas, cupboards… Pirate Gerry’s shop has got clothes: coats, hats, scarves and trousers. In Piratetown there are also eleven caves full of money and gold.

The pirates travel by boat and horse. They haven’t got cars or lorries, or planes or helicopters or even bikes!!

This is a typical pirate house. There are two floors. There is a little kitchen and a big living room downstairs . There aree two bedrooms upstairs. There isn’t a bathroom. The toilet is in the garden!!!

This is a look-out post. Here, the pirates look for the navy ships

- Look, it’s a navy ship! - Oh, no. Two big navy ships!!!

The pirates shoot the navy ships!

The navy ships are afraid. They go away .

- Good bye, navy ships!!!

The Jolly Roger is in Pirate Town. People are very happy. The pirates are very happy, too.

One Leg, One Arm and One Eye show the treasure map to their families

The three pirates are leaving to look for the treasure. The children paint the ship. Now it has a new name: The Golden Boy.

- What are you going to pack, One Arm? - A pair of Wellies , a scarf, a jumper for when it’s cold, a

pair of boots, 2 shirts…

- And you, One Leg, what are you going to pack? - Food, of course: cakes, biscuits, pizzas… and hamburgers,

sandwiches

- I’m going to pack money. I love money…_ says One Eye.

The pirates say goodbye to their families.

This is the treasure map. They read the instructions to find the island:

Find the beach with the tree that is a hundred years old. It’s the beginning of the week. The Golden Boy sails West for three days.

It’s the middle of the week. The golden Boy sails South for two days. It’s windy.

Then, the golden Boy sails East for one day. It’s windy and cold and the pirates are all very grumpy.

It’s the end of the week. The golden Boy sails North for two days. It’s windy and cold and rainy.

The pirates are lost and very, very grumpy!!!

One day, One Arm sees something swimming in the sea. He wakes up quickly.

- Help!!_ he shouts_ It’s a shark!!

But it isn’t a shark! It’s a dolphin! Go back to sleep, One Arm!

There’s a terrible storm. It’s very, very windy and very, very rainy, and very, very cold. The pirates want to go home to Piratetown.

The boat crashes into some rocks and the pirates fall into the water.

The pirates catch a piece of wood. They try to swim to the shore. At least, they have got the treasure map!!!

Holding the piece of wood, they reach a sandy beach.

But, where is the beach??

There are palm trees, parrots and … what else can you see?

There’s a tall mountain . The pirates climb the mountain.

From the top of the mountain, they can see the place where they are.

IT’s the treasure island!!!

The three pirates climb down the mountain and run to the beach.

They have to find the old tree.!!

There’s a hole in the tree. One Leg puts his hand into the hole and finds a piece of paper!

It’s the code to read the map!!!

They have to walk along the beach

The pirates look for the treasure. One Eye digs in the afternoon. One Arm digs in the evening and One Leg digs in the morning.

At last, they find a big trunk. It’s the treasure!! There is gold, silver, pearls, diamonds and jewels. The three pirates are very happy.

They repair the ship. The Golden Boy is ready to sail again.

The pirates say goodbye to their friends, the parrots. The parrots are at the top of the palm trees.

The Golden Boy is sailing again. The three pirates are going home. They are sailing back to Piratetown.
