Brief History

Bergen Pipe Supports (Jiangsu) LtdBPS) was established in 2008 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Pipe Supports Group (PSG). PSG is an international pipe support manufacturer, established in 1968. The headquarters are located at PSL Ltd. in the UK, which is a subsidiary of Hill & Smith Holdings PLC.. The manufacturing bases of PSG are spread throughout Europe, North America, Thailand, China, and India. PSG offers The Global Solution for pipe supports with more than sixty years manufacturing experience and global production facilities. In 2011 the acquisition of Bergen Power Pipe Supports Inc and Carpenter and Paterson Inc in the USA was completed. Combined with our existing companies, this has created one of the worlds largest pipe support manufacturing organisations, meeting the requirements of both nuclear and conventional power generation, oil, gas, petro-chemical, LNG and renewables industries. We are qualified & certified to ASME Division 111, Sub-section NF, 10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1, ISO9001-2010 and we meet the requirements of ASME B31, MSS SP58 and EN13480 part 3. Before PSG established a factory in China, thecompany supplied significant contracts for supports for power plants, nuclear power station and chemical industry through foreign engineering companies. These included projects related to Shanghai LNG receiving terminal, Dayawan Nuclear Plant, Ling Ao Nuclear Power Station and CSPC Huizhou Ethylene Plant. PSG established a sales office in Beijing in 2007 in order to expand its market. PSG formally established Bergen Pipe Supports Limited in Jiangsu China in 2009. Located in the South Development District, JingJiang City, JiangSu Province, the total site area is approx 3000 m2. Thecompany operates to international standards for all aspects of design, manufacturing processes and quality control. To satisfy customers domestic and export requirements BPS company uses the same fabricating equipment and quality assurance system as the headquarters in the UK. As a result of many years design and production experience, Bergen Pipe Supports (Jiangsu) Limited offers a complete range of pipe supporting equipment including constant & variable effort supports, hydraulic snubbers, cryogenic pipe supports, isolation & insulation materials, low-friction slide bearings and a wealth of hardware from beam attachments to pipe clamps, hanger rods to u-bolts. Software, available free to customers, enables engineers to select and design pipe support assemblies, and it can also communicate directly with proprietary 3D plant modelling systems inclusing PDMS, PDS & SmartPlant3-D. Pipe clamps and ancillary equipment

A fully comprehensive range of pipe-supporting ancillary items for suspending or supporting pipework. Large quantities of these products are held in stock.

Dynamic restraints Variable lock-up rate, identical in both directions of movement. Thermal bleed facility to allow controlled creep after lock up. Sophisticated seal design. Internal reservoir to prolong service and recharging periods.

Steel work Our fabrication expertise enables us to supply any necessary secondary support steelwork.

Turnbuckle load cell Designed to measure the static tension in hanger rods. A very accurate device to enable setting of pipework supported by spring hangers, to retrospectively determine the load of a support or other equipment in a heavily laden coal ash environment. PSG now manufactures and supplies the widest range of specialist pipework isolation and insulation materials together with low-friction slide bearings.

Comlin isolation products

Available in a range of properties for different applications, these products are used to reduce or eliminate noise and fatigue due to vibration, prevent galvanic corrosion due to the contact of dissimilar metals, and prevent wear and/or crushing of pipework.
