EFT Emotional Freedom TechniqueSome of you may have seen on television (TLC) a few months ago a Paul McKenna using tapping

techniques and Thought Field Therapy (TFT) created by Dr. Roger Callaghan to help people eliminate food cravings.

We recently met Dr. Gary Laundre, who wrote the book, The Happiness Code. This is based onEFT -- Emotional Freedom Technique, which is the latest version of TFT. The EFT can be applied by atherapist or you can easily do it on yourself by reading and using the information in The HappinessCode.

This material can be used for eliminating Major Fears and Phobias, Panic Attacks, Guilt Shame, andEmbarrassment, Anger, Grief and Lost Love, Anxiety and Depression, as well as Addictive Urges andObsessive Behavior.

In our brain, in the limbic area, pineal gland, and hypothalamus, we house something called theGuardian Filter. This is not an actual physical structure, but rather it is a mechanism that lters informationbetween our conscious and subconscious mind. These lters are made up acomposite of our beliefs, past emotional traumas, past illnesses and head injuries.If the information stored in the Guardian Filter is not accurate, we can react inan inappropriate manner. Example: we may feel a heights phobia from simply

watching a movie where someone is looking over a cliff. This misinterpretationin the lter is what causes us to have emotional reactions that do not t thecircumstance.

We are fortunate because Dr. Laundre lives and works in Grand Rapids. He willsee clients there if needed, but he said he actually preferred that people learnhow to use the methods in the book. That way, you are always in charge and youcan x your self if needed. He also does smoking cessation and weight controlprograms.
