THE CLUB: Pinehurst Country Club is one of Colorado’s elite golf proper-ties. Pinehurst is the largest club in the metro with 27 holes of golf and serves over 800 members. This Press Maxwell design has been the host of numerous state championships. We have a demanding membership that is always looking forward to improving conditions and quality of play.

THE PROGRAM: The internship program is designed to provide a hands-on learn-ing environment that will give interns the necessary skills to begin their professional careers as entry level managers. Interns will work with the Director of Grounds, Superintendent and Assistant Superintendents on the daily course preparation, agronomic and irrigation practices, as well as staff planning. In addition to on-course training, interns will receive additional classroom setting education for pesticides, ir-rigation/drought management, construction/renovation management and staff scheduling and management.

In the west, golf course maintenance revolves around water. Experiencing golf in Denver you will have a clearer understanding of water and how to use it efficiently. Water management is the key to successful turf in any climate.
