Pilot Walktour Android is a portable air interface wireless measurement tool
supporting multi-technology (GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA/HSDPA/HSUPA/HSPA+/LTE)
and services testing.
Walktour can be used for indoor positioning and measurements, as well as outdoor
drive test. It is unnecessary to physically connect to a test device when conducting tests.
Compared to traditional drive test tool, Walktour can be easily taken to sites and buildings
not reachable with traditional driving test equipment, which brings great convenience to
testers. Walktour records accurate and extensive amount of test information, which
enables network optimization engineers to obtain enough data and analysis information.
Test data collected by Walktour can be imported into DingLi’s Pilot Navigator for
post-processing and analysis.

4.1 Function
1. Since iBwave is a map with longitude and latitude positioning, “Remove pin point” is
not supported for the moment.
2. Due to protocol, HTTP Upload does not support HTTPS and automatic creation and
upload of files any more. On Fleet4 and Fleet Unify, do not choose these two options.
3. TCPIP packet capturing should be disabled when conducting MMS testing, otherwise
it will lead to MMS testing failure
4.2 Operation
1. When CQT begins, pin point is not possible until file record initialization in order to
record the first point. Interval between successive pin points is set no less than two
seconds in order to avoid wrongly marked pointers caused by frequent operation.
2. It is not recommended to import map or clear the points after marking, to avoid
disrupting marked traces due to the change of coordinates.
3. When first install Walktour on a new phone, please load Walktour when successfully
installed; then reboot the phone and load Walktour again to complete all the
initialization procedure. Phones which have Walktour installed but flash memory has
not been formatted, Walktour can be installed directly.
4. It is common to fail when upgrading from previous version through Fleet Unify in 2G
network. It is recommended to upgrade via 3G/4G/WIFI.
5. Phone and media audio should be turned off when conducting MOS testing in order
to prevent unfavorable sound when operating the phone.
6. On iBwave map, it is not possible to delete floor map through Walktour, otherwise
reselecting floor in testing will cause abnormalities. Deleting a whole building is
possible.
7. Users should first install Google language packs in order to use the voice warning
function. By default Google language packs are installed on all delivered phones.
However, if reset to factory defaults, users should re-install Google language packs.
For further information, please refer to manual or operate according to Walktour
directions.

4.3 Others
1. Audio warning during voice testing is either from phone receiver or power amplifier.
This is because when calling, audio output will come from phone receiver instead of
power amplifier.
2. TCP/IP captured data volume is high. When FTPD rate is 20M/s, data file size can be
as big as 1G/h (basically, it is 1/10~1/5 of the download volume). Please make sure
the phone has enough storage space when applying this function.

1. Parameters
1) Cell list will display C1 and C2 when testing data in GSM network. The problem will
be dealt with in the next version.
2) Currently, the mechanism for judging if it is on dual carrier is not maturely developed.
Even when it is not on dual carrier, there still is Decode Success Rate displayed in
HSPA+ page. The problem will be dealt with in the next version.
3) When conducting parallel test of data service and voice service, due to ambiguous
distinction between services, values of Throughput will remains in the value tables
of voice service. The problem will be dealt with in the next version.
2. Data which cannot be computed displays wrong status: The data file can be displayed
in data maintenance, yet its name is grayed out and cannot be selected; the latest
data file is grayed out but can be selected. If the files are enough, first drag down and
then drag up, the previous shadowed data is grayed and selectable. After refresh, the
first data file will be grayed but selectable. The problem will be dealt with in the next
version.
3. Unit of video parameter rate is displayed as "kbps", but its actual unit is "KB/s"; mean
jitter’s real-time value is wrong. The problem will be dealt with in the next version.
