TRANSCRIPT
A special thank you to Isabella Orosco for blessing us with her special
music last Sunday!
VBS
This Saturday, July 21st at 6pm, we need your help in prepping the
Church for Vacation Bible School. No artistic ability needed. We’ll
snack on some pizza and listen to our VBS music! Next Sunday, July
22nd at 4:30pm there will be an ice cream social for Pilmoor to
welcome families participating in VBS. All are invited to come enjoy
some ice cream and meet with VBS leaders to hear about some of the
exciting things the children will be doing during the course of the
week. Parents can also take this extra time to enroll their children in
VBS for the week. VBS fun will then start promptly at 6pm!
Safe Sanctuary
Next Sunday, July 22nd, there will be a Safe Sanctuary training
immediately following the service. This is for anyone who needs a
refresher or who still needs to go through the course. If you are
helping with VBS and have not completed Safe Sanctuary, you are
required to attend. It will only take about 30-45 minutes.
Tides Game
The Norfolk Tides are having another “Turn Back the Clock” night on
Tuesday, August 21st. Game time is 7:05pm. I know some of you
have expressed interest in going again. In order to reserve your
spot(s), please fill out the insert in the bulletin and turn it in with the
payment for your ticket(s). The cost is $10.50 per ticket. You can turn
in your reservation slip with your money by dropping it in the offering
plate or bringing it to the church office during office hours. (M-Th
8:30am-12:30pm) Your spot(s) will not be held until payment has
been received.
Disclaimer: $10.50 is the discounted rate for a group of 20 or more.
Altar Flowers
We have a lot of empty slots available for the next few months for
altar flowers. If you would like to sign up, the sign-up poster is on the
wall in the social hall. Thank you!

Introit Announcements *Passing of the Peace
Prelude Bringing Forth the Light of Christ ENTRANCE AND PRAISE
*Opening Prayer 366
O God, just as we look into a mirror to see any soiled spots on our face, so let us look to you in order to understand the things that we have done amiss. We are like a reed shaken in the wind; we are inexpressibly weak. Leave us not to ourselves, but dwell in our hearts and guide our thoughts and actions. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
*Opening Hymn “I Sing the Almighty Power of God” 152
*Affirmation of Faith (The Apostle’s Creed) 881
I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord: who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead and buried; the third day he rose from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and sitteth at the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen.
*The Gloria Patri 71
Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
The Prayers of the People
*The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen!
