Pierre Quinn is an author, speaker, educator, and minister who has traveled around the United States and Canada sharing messages of hope and inspiration. As a gifted communicator and engaging storyteller Pierre has spoken for colleges, training workshops, leadership development programs, youth camps, ministry groups, and awards ceremonies. Whenever Pierre gives a presentation the most frequently asked question is, “When can he come back?”

Part of Pierre’s passion comes from living in a home with an entrepreneur for a father and an aspiring writer as a mother. Despite a firm foundation Pierre completed his freshman year of college with a 1.67 GPA losing his academic scholarship. Pierre left school after the end of his sophomore year, but he returned a year later to face his past and grasp every opportunity afforded to him. The journey from academic probation student to a multiple graduate degree holder has taught Pierre some valuable lessons about learning, leading, and living that he feels privileged to share with others.

For nearly a decade Pierre instructed college students in the areas of communication, interpersonal relationships, group dynamics, team building, and leadership. This experience has led to opportunities to work with and train educational leaders, call centers employees, jobs seekers, and various leadership teams. I read a LOT of leadership books, and this is the most FUN book I've read in recent memory. It's truly a book of wisdom. Pastor Pierre Quinn teaches through stories...from ancient Biblical stories to modern day case studies and interviews with successful leaders. My favorite is the interview with Michael Rao, who was the youngest college president in the country. Among Rao's advice to his younger self: be more strategic, delegate more, and don't try to make everyone happy all the time. This book is a Godsend for any rookie manager (perhaps quite literally), but I found it to be affirming and validating (and fun!) even as a senior leader.
