7Weekly Church Bulletin January 2, 2020

Becoming more and more rooted in the Word of God is a deep desire we share here at Piedmont Road. The 4 men who serve as your shepherds have taken a great interest in your development in personal growth. “As the home goes, so goes the church” is a true proverbial statement for every member to consider heavily. As you live in your home, your workspace, and your day to day, the Gospel is being preached to everyone around you, simply by the way you live. It is our command from God to influence everyone around us for the better so that we might have an opportunity to give them Jesus. “Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making best use of the time. Let your speech alway be seasoned with salt so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” (Col. 4:5-6)

Don’t you want your children to be saved? What about your spouse? And your next of kin? And that great neighbor of yours who always takes care of your dogs when you travel? Of course that answer

is a resounding, “yes,” but unless you yourself are personally shaped by the life of Christ, you cannot persuade another soul to do what you will not.

“His Life” is one such tool to help develop your spiritual walk in Christ. It is a simple daily devotional for you as an individual or alongside side the members of your household. Discipline yourself to devote time to the study of the life of Christ. The devotional topic that you study during the week, will be the topic of the sermon the coming Sunday night. It will however, be preached from a vantage point that you and your family haven’t studied. Every new week brings a new aspect of the life of Christ we wish you to know and learn about to better shape your life in Christ.

We need you at Piedmont Road to grow in grace and knowledge. We need a stronger tomorrow. Please see the office if you need a copy for your family.
