The famous Sun Temple at Konark is 35 kms away from Puri. Puri is 65 kms away from Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha. Bhubaneswar is connected to Kolkata, Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru and Hyderabad by air. The five-day conference includes an excursiontotheSunTemplein Konark. The conference will be held in Blue Lily Beach Resort Hotel, Puri. The first conference was organized in 2002 (PSI2002) and second conference was organized in 2009 (PSI2009) at Puri. The 3rd International Conference on Physics at Surfaces and Interfaces (PSI2014) is jointly organized by Electron Microscope Society of India (EMSI) ,

Kolkata, Institute of Physics (IOP), Bhubaneswar, Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar (IITBBS), Bhubaneswar and Indian Association for the

Cultivation of Science(IACS), Kolkata from February 24 - 28 , 2014. The conference is being held as an event of EMSI. The conference will be held in the beach

resort of Puri on the Bay of Bengal. Puri is an international tourist spot with its long sandy beach and nearby temples listed under World Heritage sites. Some

temples date back to the eighth century. The famous Sun Temple at Konark is 35 kms away from Puri. Puri is 65 kms away from Bhubaneswar, the capital of
