PHS Ottello Adhesive Sealant

PHS Ottello Adhesive Sealant is a water-based contact adhesive,

designed to create a permanent connection between airtight

layers in accordance with DIN 4108-7.

PHSPHS Ottello Adhesive Sealant is typically used to bond Airtight

vapour control layer (AVCL) membranes to substrates in order to

maintain the airtight and vapour control integrity of the junction.

PHS Sealant has a broad range of applications, one of its most im-

portant applications is the joining of membrane to blockwork such

as a ceiling AVCL lapping down to join to the masonry wall in order

to create a continuous airtight and vapour control layer. The sealant

eexcels in this application due to its ability to create a strong bond

with rough surfaces.

PHS Ottello Sealant complies with BS 9250 (Airtightness of ceilings

in pitched roofs) and BS 5250 (Control of condensation in build-

ings).

Adhesive Sealant is solvent free, highly adhesive, permanently elas-

tic and has a fast curing time.

Area of ApplicationPHS Adhesive Sealant is suitable for airtight adhesion of construc-tion membranes to masonry concrete, plaster, wood and similar substrates. Absorbing surfaces may need to be pre-treated with a suitable primer. It’s suitable for internal and external use on the condition that it’s not exposed to weathering or UV-rays. Bonding surfaces should be: clean, dry, grease and dust free.

ApplicationApply between +5°C and +40°C. Apply in approximately 8mm wide beads onto the substrate. Install construction membrane with a stress relief loop to remove and tension and press down gently on PHS Adhesive Sealant – do not squeeze. During drying period avoid pulling on the membrane.
