Many soldiers fought bravely during the Vietnam War.
One of these soldiers was Jan C. Scruggs.
Scruggs decided he would raise funds for a Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
The memorial would include the names of all American men and women who were missing.
Organizing the project took years of great effort.
Many different people contributed to the project.
