IntroductionMy photography portfolio is filled with
photographs I took all year long. Some of them were used in some of my projects, others never quite
made it there. There are pictures of about anything and any style.
I believe that photography is art. And when it comes to art, music is what inspires me the most. Therefore, I decided to name every picture with a song title that
represent it.
So this is what my year in photography class ended up being…

Title: Cold Day In The SunWhere: My old front yardPurpose: I took this picture for the calendar project. This one represented November. Somewhat haunting, I think the picture brings out the coldness of the season. The tree is empty, just like the feeling of November.

Title: This Is Our TownWhere: My hometownPurpose: This picture means a lot to me. I took it one week before I moved out of my hometown. I lived there for 12 years and this place just feels like home to me. I was with my two best friends when I took it, and we were on the top of the arena like we used to do almost every night. I miss this town like you have no idea.

What I learned about myself as a photographer…
• This year, in photography class, I could say that I learned a lot about different styles of pictures and different way to photograph things and it’s true.... But honestly, what I really learned this year is that with a little thought and some time, you can come up with pictures that represents different objects, person or landscape in a way no one but yourself sees it. It’s somewhat strange to see that you can be creative through a picture that represents a reality. I did learn a lot about photography, and I enjoyed learning about it. I learned about myself too; I realized that photography might not be what I like the most. I enjoy looking and discovering pictures but I have difficulty coming up with really outstanding photographs myself. I love art, in every way. But photography is just not my favorite way to go. But still, I’m grateful for what I have learned this year, because finding originality and creativity in something plain and simple as reality is a true gift.
