Personal exploration
• This work is the major part of your coursework• It has to be your own personal journey• It will take place in class time AND 5 hours
homework (or more) a week until the deadline• Sketchbook and preparation need to be ready
for producing your final pieces in the exam on 12 December (a whole day exam – warn your other teachers!)
Aim for
• At least two detailed double page spreads a week (ie four pages)
• A range of research – with images and annotations
• A range of Historical references• A range of Cultural references• A range of Experiments
Final outcome
• Your sketchbook (the same one as you are using at present!)
• Final pieces – these could be: mounted/framed photos; a photographic story; a magazine spread, photographic advertising campaign etc

• Think about all the places your chosen theme might be seen (fine art; adverts; campaigns; clothing; digipaks/cd covers; clothing; logos; signs etc)
• What associations/meanings the word/theme has – different meanings for different viewers/countries/cultures
• What techniques you might like to try – Adam will also do at least one experimental technique a week which you will apply to your theme
