For this assignment you will be organizing your four photo assignments into one large portfolio. You will be required to follow the posted example portfolio and this outline to get top marks. There are various parts to this assignment and each need to be completed. Once your portfolio is completed you will need to Export your assignment to .pdf and post to your website but you also need to print this assignment and create a magazine booklet and hand that in for marking. The various areas of the assignment will be outlined in the next few pages.

Page 1: For this page you need to create a title page for your booklet portfolio. You need to have your Name and Block on the page and well as the Title Photo 10. The rest of what is on the page is your call.

Page 2 - 4: For page 2 - 4 you need to create a proof sheet for all your photos. you can do this by following the next few steps. You need to go to window/utilities/scripts - Then you need to go to the scrips tab of the new window. Next go to JavaScript and select the ImageCatalog.jsx You should see the the file finder window open up. you need to navigate to the folder that contains your photos.

Next you will need to set up how you want your thumbnails to look. Use these following settings.

Once the Script is run you should have photos that look something like this. You will have to copy and paste these photos into your Portfolio. Simply use the selection tool to select all of them. Select copy and then paste them into your portfolio.

Page 5 - 6: These pages should be set up the same as the example photos on the next page be careful to size your boxes correct and also to fit your pictures in such a way that they dont get too distorted. These photos can be any photo you would like to use.

Page 7: This is your Focus and Exposure page you need to set up the photos in rows of 3 make sure you get them all 15 photos on the page .

Page8: This is your Panorama photos make sure you place the photos into the page vertically so that they can be as long as possible.

Page 9: This is your High Key photos make sure to group them in two rows of 3

Page 10: This is reserved for your fav photo you can use any photo that you would like to use.

In order to print this portfolio you will need to use the print booklet functions in Indesign. The follow picture show most of the settings you will need to know for printing. Make sure that you select the large colour printer and that you go into the print settings to select 11 x 17 paper as well as you will need to select under the finishing tab to print double sided.

Once you have completed printing then you need to use the long neck stapler to staple the seem of your book and had it in.
