Introduction
• Meterial cadmium sulfida (CdS) dengan band gap 2,41 eV.• Operasional memerlukan sumber daya karena tidak menghasilkan photocurrent• Photoeffect ditunjukkan dengan perubahan hambatannya• Pada kondisi gelap, resistansi material tinggi, kondisi terang arus mengalir• CdS dapat mendeteksi cahaya dengan panjang gelombang lebih pendek dari 515 nm

Semakin besar intensitas maka hambatannya relatif mengalami penurunan, sebaliknya jika intensitasnya rendah (dark) naha hambatan akan bernilai besar

PROCESSING
cahaya
Ketika photoresistor terkena cahaya maka photon diserap dan terjadi penambahan energi pada elektron pita valensi. Hal ini menggerakkan elektron ke dalam pita konduksi dan menghasilkan hole pada pita valensi, konsekuensinya konduktivitas material meningkat
